  • That kind of data is typically several years old. For example, the last time I checked my house -- about 6 months ago -- there was still open hills which had just been graded by the tractors for housing. If you actually looked at those hills, you'd see houses. So I knew the photo was about 4-5 years old.
  • I'd agree with Stableboy. If you look my house up, the data is at least 5-6 years old. A new supermarket and row of houses doesn't show up, all you see is the ground they were preparing.
  • I guess each place is different, because I've been watching the Calgary Alberta area get updated sat photos over the last 6 months. The newest view is still about 18 months old (older in some sections of the city), but Google does seem to be updating the photos on an ongoing basis.
