  • I see NOTHING wrong with your answer. You stated the facts. That is the problem with homelessness and the issues surrounding it. You must remember who asked the question and his problem with the "homeless' in general (wasn't that you with me talking to them in the other thread). People have ALL the solutions to fix the problem but people have NO IDEA the problems the homeless really go thru. Everyone says "they should get a job" but those same people will NOT hire them and will have a million excuses why. People think homeless CHOOSE to be that way. They don't understand that EVERYONE is 1 disaster away from homelessness themselves. I was homeless last year.. I was NOT an addict or alcoholic. I was on disability but still tried to work and NOBODY would hire me. I had NO MONEY cause I left from domestic abuse and the abuser stole it all.. so according to some people that was my fault and I CHOSE that lifestyle and I could better myself if I want to.. They are just arrogant and ignorant and do NOT care to find out the way things really are.
  • No Sweet t you didn't I agree with everything you said! : )
  • Nope, you didn't say what she wanted to hear, so it was wrong to her! Everything you said made sense!!! : O )
  • No. You answered it well.
  • Very detailed and well written answer.
  • No, you didn't. I added a comment.
  • Looks good to me.
  • Where i live we dont seem to have the prevalence of homelessness as you do in the US (Although i do have my own veiws on the subject), so my answer is to THIS question not the one that sporned it. What you wrote seemed informed, intelligent and passionate but just to play devils advocate you probably shouldnt have put in this line. ***Only extremely shallow and self centered people would be. It was a personal atack on her beliefs. Regardless if they are right or wrong everyone has the right to their own opinion.
  • You answered it very well :) People want to get a grip. I got downrated the other day because apparently the asker 'didn't ask for my opinion'. That was different to his. Erm. Oh right.
  • Nope, sounds good to me.
  • no you answered it well but in a way i can understand why she gets annoyed i do find CERTAIN homeless people quiet rude at times, like when your waiting for the tram and he comes up to someone and says " 1euro , 1 euro " and if the person says no, he yells " bitch bitch" and then goes on to the next person and does the same thing, or like when i was sitting on a bench waiting for the bus one sits next to me and starts opening my shopping bags.....but otherwise they're people like us, the other day when i went shopping with my boyfriend there was 3 homeless men in front of the shop asking for money or food we bought them some bread and pâté and some water for their dogs and one night after work one man came up to me and said he was homeless and has no money to buy cigarettes so he ask me for one , as i don't smoke i said no , then he went on saying how he admired people who don't smoke , we talked about 10/15 minutes together ............
  • Hmmmmm.....*observing* Well....it IS, a question... And you DID answer it...I don't see anything wrong with that. Looks good Sassy T ^_^
  • Methinks you answered too appropriately, and it HURT:) I answered with some of our current research from my work. http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/4600145
  • Nope You Did A Fine Job As Always Sweet T;)
  • Not at all. I think your answer was well thought out and completely appropriate. Max points.
  • NO NO. I love your answer. I couldn't have said it better myself, and bravo for helping the homeless, I volenteer, especially during the holliday season, at shelters and it's great. So was your answer. ;]
  • Yes...they were looking for people who shared the same opinion to elebrate on their issues with it not for the rebuttal. You gave them the rebuttal and then critizied their own personal values.
  • Oh come on.... Your answer was PERFECT!!! Only people that have no heart & or compassion would feel any different.
  • Not at all. You stated your opinion (which was what was asked) and even backed it up with facts.
  • I see no problem with you answer. Indeed, I find it noble.
  • Great answer Sweet T and i adore your avatar!
  • no. you gave a very thoughtful, honest answer and you interpreted the question correctly sweet t. i think you do great, compassionate work, and your experience in the field gives you valuable insight. i appreciate that you disseminated statistics & info on why homeless people might not be able to have gainful employment and what conditions might have contributed to their homelessness. by doing so, you are encouraging people to open their minds and not to judge. you astutely called that extremely shallow & self centered spade a spade. the person posing the question is an intolerant person and obviously wanted to have a bitch session about homeless people. what a bitch!
  • Your answer was not only appropriate but factually based and to the point. None of this can be said for the original question. Good luck to you.
  • great answer for sure!!! My heart aches for the homeless, and I get angry with people who think they are criminals and to be feared...that is just ignorance and judgement at its height. Thank you for working with them,we need more folks like you. have a flower..:
  • Hi Sweet T :) I just read the question/answer/comments .. I do not believe that you answered the question wrong in any way. Although, as a highly respected ABer I hated to see that you stooped to her level in the comments area. Honestly, it wasn't worth the time or energy, as with posting this question .. Can't we all just get along :( DR me if you wish, I just don't see the point in adding fuel to the fire ..
