-

-
Yes, we always have ....and now so, as it is a tradition in our SGI Buddhist organization, as the home or place of our chanting ritual is considered holy ground
-
You should make sure that the socks and smell is acceptable first...................
-
No. People neither do that and thank them:)
-
Just the grand children. Their parents have taught them to take their shoes indoors because they often have dirty shoes.
-
I would never dream of asking someone to take their shoes off in my home..that would be extremely rude. I will though tell them to feel free to kick off their shoes and relax if they want. :)
-
Yes, but only one shoe.
-
Yep, I live in a rented apartment, so I gotta save the carpet, I want my deposit back when I leave...see? pays to think ahead.
-
My visitors are willing to do it without any notice, so there is no problem))).
-
I don't ask people to take their shoes off, but there's a line of shoes at the front door and most people take the hint. It's also part of Maori culture in New Zealand, so a lot of people do it automatically.
-
Only if they are caked in mud or i just moped!
-
No I don't. I was raised to see that as being rude to a guest.
-
no, i hate it when people do that!! they are telling their guests they are too dirty to be in their house. vulgar habit!
-
No, I ask them to TAKE THEIR CLOTHES OFF!! Ahh!! But no, I don't. I usually just ask to borrow something of theirs. Hurrah.
-
No... it should be common knowledge.
-
The people who enter our house have to take off their shoes since it is a custom in traditional Indian homes to do so. We do not wear footwear inside anyone's house and it is strictly not allowed inside our temples also.
-
never, I think its rude actually, Im sure my flooring products can withstand shoes !!
-
In Canada you never enter some ones home with your shoes on unless they ask you to. I live on plywood floors right now so unless you want slivers keep em on.
-
No.
-
I wish we had. We have that dumb white carpet. Well, it used to be white. The real estate agent had the original seller put in white carpet to make everything look huge and exapnsive. I'm either going to bleach and dye the stuff or have new carpet put in - something in a medium shade, maybe emerald green.
-
absolutely NOT !! vulgar habit, telling your guests that they're too dirty to walk on your clean floors!
-
Nope... I just cut to the chase and never invite anyone over in the first place. but I do believe in removing the shoes at the door like the Japanese. My motto around here is; "Keep outside... OUTSIDE!"
-
Nope, my place is a home, not a showcase. Kick your feet up and relax, there's very little I'll require of a guest. Just don't do an Aleister Crowley on my carpet=0]
-
yes always...
