• Contact the insurance company. I was able to find a nice amount of money for a relative by doing just that. They'll probably have some ID requirements, of course. You may have to do some research if the original insurance company merged with someone else, but Google is a good help. Good Luck!
  • Contact the insurance company and ask what they need from you in order to collect money as a beneficiary of a policy. You will probably need a copy of the death certificate (possibly an original) and there will be a form for you to fill out of which your signature may need to be notarized (your bank can usually do that).
