  • It's pretty loud.
  • What!!!!!! What did you say?
  • They crave attention, even if it's negative.
  • I think it's intrusive and rude.
  • it's their choice, though I find it kind of petty and shallow that they can only feel good about themselves by destroying their hearing and showing off that their speakers can shake the hardware off their car. But hey if that's what you need to do to have any self-worth I guess more power to ya.
  • It doesnt bother me at all. People do what they like and if they want to do that then they can do it.
  • I think those people are the ones who will keep the people who supply hearing aids VERY busy as well as the ENT's. They are irritating as He**. Lets face it..when the music is so loud, the ground starts to crack.. turn IT DOWN!!!!
  • It is too loud, but then again, I am too old...
  • Annoys me. As does loud music from headphones. Why must people inflict their taste on other people?
  • I think it should be outlawed as a safety hazard. How can they hear the sirens of the emergency vehicles and police?
  • I smile wryly...knowing these idiots will be deaf at age 40. Big tip of the day...Buy stock in hearing aid companies.
  • i hate it. it's so rude, they disrespect everyone when they play their music too loud. sometimes i wish their speakers would just explode.
  • I think the people are idiots. They need to focus on driving, and not turning up your music. I mean, music is a good thing, but when your driving, and focusing on the road, you don't need the sound up high.
  • I think it is rude and immature behavior and is quite presumptuous to assume that we share the same tastes.
  • If they do it where I live they will be fined and each time they do it the fine will just about double! I think they should lose their license to use any vehicle after the first fine! In fact why give any of them a license when soon they won't be able to afford to drive!
  • I think they are attention seekers who are going to have hearing problems later in life.
  • They will have trouble hearing people screaming about stuff falling off their vehicles like mufflers and fenders.
  • They wanna get noticed...ever realize when you look over to see who it is in the car..they are looking right back at you--thinking they're cool :)
  • I wish I had their name so I could hearing aids to them in 10 years.
  • That they are sure going to miss the sounds in life as they get a bit older. That is if they don't cross paths with a train first.
  • if its good i dont mind if its not turn it off lol =)
  • One of the things you can always count on is that the music is very predictible. For a while there I had a loud system to blast out rock and heavy metal, just to mess with the horribly unoriginal rap blasters. Then I realized there was no reason to damage my hearing over audio bickering. Let them go on and endure permanent hearing damage for the trend of the moment.
  • i think that their going to be deft (that's a weird word, I'm not sure how to spell it)
  • nice system... what is your spl?
  • In Los Angeles we occasionally have inter-vehicular shootings which I ordinarily abhor. However, if I heard some tunes being blasted from a vehicle at an obnoxiously loud level, then shots fired, and then silence, I'd feel relieved. I wouldn't bother calling the police but I'd answer whatever questions they had if they contacted me.
  • i think its a public nuisance. where i live, we have a rule, no loud car stereos within 500 feet of a school or home. violators will first get a warning, second offense, 1,000 fine, third offense, 5,000 and car impounded for 120 days. they should have some kind of built in volume reduction filter that would go in effect if reached at a certain decibel.
  • I think it is an outward expression for an inward desire for others to "look at me", or "someone please react to my pain", or even " This is my lifestyle and I want you to know it, baby". I think it stems from insecurity.
  • I think some like it loud and some like low. Stop trying to control the behavior. Some things are not worth the time. Just wave and be nice to them. Stop trying to punish for every act it is not working. Leave people alone unless they are actually messing with you physically. Music is something that is here and you can not remove.Loud music is okay. Why? Because that person has to change their behavior not you.Try writing a kind note like. I understand you like loud music and that this maybe fun to you. Just be careful.
  • I cant stand it. I have thought about hooking up a sub-woofer up outside of their houses and just blasting it. this way they know how we feel everytime they drive by.
  • It's loud at the symphony. It's loud at the concerts. It's loud at the church. This is a silly and dumb thing to start. Police i'm sure have better things to do than to lock up people for enjoying themselves. What's next ticket for looking at flowers to long etc. Come on America find something else to do with your time.
  • Seems pretty High School to me.
  • The noise is coming from a moving vehicle. How can it be that bothersome if it comes and goes in a matter of seconds? You people on here suggesting punishing people for playing loud car stereos are hiding behind the fact that it is a noise which is loud and disturbs you in order to target a specific group of people: teens and young adults. You don't complain and make an issue out of bikers and their "choppers". For someone to get a car stereo up to the decibal of some of these bikes, it would cost tens of thousands of dollars in speakers, amps, and other equipment to even come close. Not too many people spend this kind of money when throwing some subs in their car. You don't complain about sirens, about dump trucks and semis. You don't even make a big issue about screaming neighbor kids. You complain about the "punk" teenagers and young adults with their car stereos because, unlike your allegations, you are actually the ones who are insecure. You are afraid of what you don't understand and of the stereotype you place on anyone with an interest in custom car audio systems. You hear bass and you think "gangbanger" and "driveby" and "drug dealer" because of what you see on TV and in the movies. For crying out loud, these kids are learning about electronics and taking an interest in something that, above all else, is not a destructive activity. Leave other people alone and worry about yourselves. You don't like the bass music. OK? I'm more than certain that there is at least one over-weight person responding in this thread who, by all means, disturbs the general public by merely walking down the street in plain view. But noone targets fat people by banning McDonald's, do they? Society has to deal with the disgusting sight of their cellulite and blubber. We leave them alone because its the polite thing to do. Do the same when it comes to a younger generation doing something which is totally innocent that they enjoy.
  • I think that someday, somewhere, someone, is going to want to speak to one of those people and they won't be able to hear them, because they have gone deaf!
  • I usually don't hear it, my musics too loud.
  • Lame,usually.
  • I wonder how they would like it if we played OUR music that loud ... it's just selfish and immature to make everyone listen to that!
  • they just do it to get noticed and it is really annoying!..They need to find a hobby or just another way to get looked at
  • IT seems we can hear them coming 30 seconds LITERALLY before they pass our house and 30 seconds LITERALLY after they pass our house. And then in the car, when you can't hear your own horn, it's too loud. But maybe deafness is setting in...
  • if i like the song its great. if i don't like the song, well....one of us will pass the other momentarily. it doesn't matter. however............. safety IS a concern- if the music was so loud, the driver could not hear an ambulance that needed to get through, or couldn't hear someone's horn to prevent an accident
  • Usually they play music and move along.
  • They play th music because the spirit needs it. Just like some people need food. Where does a person relax in america if they are not able to enjoy their car with a little a music. What kind a music is okay? hmmmm.what is to loud? hmmmm. What's next can't have concerts. Come on surely we are not this dum to believe music is that bad. Think about there are all types of people and they act different and some times you have to go over politely and talk in a low tone and say "Great music" could you turn it down a tad. Do it with a smile. Sometimes they just get cared away with the song. You know like you do with reading a book. Remember just smile and ask. Police really don't have time for this stuff. Sometimes you have use your communication skills of asking nicely. If you are fearful forget this. I really think you are missing out on someone who could be very nice and listen to music because maybe they are stressed who knows.
  • The needless booming is ridiculous. The booming effects people on so many levels and it's usually not positive, especially if it is forced upon us. There's a place for that kind of loudness; like in the clubs or large designated areas for such noise, but to have to hear it in neighborhoods or apartment areas etc. it is absurd and should be against the law and as citizens we should be allowed to make a citizens arrest on folk who boom their speakers of which are really screaming that they are lifeless, womenless, worthless losers who want to disrespect the world in compensation for their plight due to their own laziness. What baffles me further is how often it's usually silly white men who are trying to be down with ethnic folk by playing their bass so loud when we all really know that they would be somebody's girl in the ghetto or in prison taking it up the booty and quite possibly being turned out in the process. I'm so glad I have found other people who also realize the how stupid these people are and are encouraging a stop to the wannabe gangsta generation of posers and never gonnabees. I could go on and on but I'm definately desiring and am willing to do whatever is necessary o put a stop to the needless noise and booming coming out of people's vehicles & yes that includes that of some of those loud harley davidson motorcycles and the like. What a warped way to show machismo these days. These people don't want to show how tough they are through hard work and focus but would rahter show it through laziness and loud noise. Count me in on the anti-noise, anti-boom, anti-punk wimp movement too. Lets do this thing and shut them sorry excuses for life down.
  • +5 as long as they can still what is happening around them go for it !
  • Is that now the car with the stereo or the stereo with the car? (",) +4
