    I would only take a check from a good personal friend, so if they happened to give me one that was bad, I would just ask them for another.

    I would contact them of course and then their bank. The bank will charge them a bounced check fee and maybe that will keep them from writing bad checks from then on??? Hopefully they have to pay you as well as the bank!

    i had a shop and that happened. so long as the account doesnt close you should be able to call the bank DAILY (dont be shamed) and find out when the funds are available.. then run to the bank.. if it means running to the ladies room and wretching to get off sick ;)
