-
Yes, they used to when I was in England, but since I left three years ago, these calls have all but stopped now.
-
My mom asks me to help allll the time.
-
never!
-
Friends, family, co workers, mere acquaintances.
-
not if they actually want REAL help. or the number to my computer repair guy
-
Yes
-
I'm the last person they would call lol. I'm like computer illiterate. I call my boyfriend all the time though. XD But for some reason, his mom asked me to help her with her computer, instead of him, I don't quite get it, though it was more for Internet related matters than actual computer stuff. :/
-
All the freaking time.
-
Yes, some of my friends who're not good enough with computers do call me. Also all my cousins call me when in need.

-
Yes they do, but only because my good friend from the USA helped me out for years :) now i can do the same for my friends and family.. although my sis in law just brings the whole unit to my house!! what is that about?
-
Yes. I looked on the Internet for the long distance prefix for India and then called a random long distance number in India and connected them in a 3 way call with an almost-non-English speaking Indian ... probably wig store or something.
-
Yes my friends do call me when they have computer problems..And I get what you were saying thankx for the good advice..you are a really big help...I added you to my friends list.
-
LOL no. I don't have computer know-how that could actually help people who are having computer problems.
-
No not at all...I usually call my brother. He owns his own computer business
-
No,they call my husband.
-
Yeah, I don't mind so much, though.
-
I don't know too many people that know less about computers than I do.
-
My family contacts me or my brother, my brother was a Comp Sci major in college, so they call him first, me if they can't get ahold of him. I'm a "geek of all trades" I'm good with computers, and can fix lots of basic problems, but there are things that are outside of my knowledge base. I have some friends from before I started college that call me for help. My new friends from college are all Comp Sci majors or something similar. They all can run circles around me, as I'm a Physics major.
-
yes...but I usually don't know the answer I will google my way through what I can though
-
Yea. I've been using computers since I was wee little. Especially at school, they'll ask how to do something, because their security sucks, and there are lots of back doors.
-
Yup. Most of the time, they don't have to call again in that area.
-
The only person that calls me for computer problems is my mother. I'm not a computer whiz, I've just grown up with them and know some basics (I'm 23). I find that trying to help her over the phone with computer problems is unbelievably frustrating, I think because she isn't listening to me precisely and is focusing too much on the screen. I also worked for a university distance learning office and we had to help people from all over the world with their computer questions and problems. I find that no matter how easy a webpage is to navigate, somehow people will always get confused and lost. It was still a fun job that I miss. :)

Oh yes. I am the local Linux guru. I am helping a kid doing his Eagle Scout project, refurbishing old computers for the elderly and disabled.
-
HaHaHa! No. My friends call to borrow money or use my truck.
