  • I used AutoZone to gather parts information, assuming you had the 2.5 liter engine. If you had the 3.3 liter engine, you can change the search parameters yourself: Master cylinder choices: http://www.autozone.com/N,14400007//shopping/partTypeResultSet.htm Brake pad choices: http://www.autozone.com/N,14401233//shopping/partTypeResultSet.htm Enter your zip code and click on the parts for pricing and availability. If you do the replacements yourself, obviously there are no costs associated with that. If you have a local mechanic do it, you can ask for their rates and how much they would charge. Be sure to ask if you can supply the new parts yourself, because you can save significantly by getting them at your local parts store and taking them to him when you drop your car off. Not every mechanic will do this, though, so ask first. Word to the wise: Working on the brake system isn't all that difficult, but if you don't know what you're doing then go to a mechanic to get the work done. Being able to stop your 3000 pound car after you get it going is the single most important ability you need, followed closely by being able to steer it. And if yo need to replace one brake pad on the front, do BOTH front wheels and inspect the back ones to see if they need pad/shoe replacement as well.
