try tea tree oil. probably the most universaly available essential oil even available in the vitamine section at walmart. http://www.teatreeoiluses.com/ never had atheletes foot myself but this would be my first attempt before anything else because not only is it the cheapest has many other uses, but not many other suggestions will be good for your skin.
