GEORGE READ was born in Cecil County, Maryland on September 17, 1733. His mother was the daughter of a Welsh planter, and his Dublin-born father a landholder of means. http://www.georgeread.org/ Deborah Read was born February 14, 1708, in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County Pennsylvania. I have also found where she was born in Boston, Middlesex County, Massachusetts or Marlborough, Massachusetts but do not believe from information I found that she was born in Massachusetts. She was the daughter of Sarah White and John Read.
