  • OGMRip hands down. I've tried DVD::Rip, Handbrake, OGMRip, Avidemux and the command lines. OGMRip is faster then the rest while giving the best quality while also being simple. It also gives you further options for the more experienced and very handy profiles to choose from. Handbrake is good but not if you use Vorbis as it doesn't have the native quality option and also the encoding isn't as fast as OGMRip. DVD::Rip doesn't handle MKV and Avidemux gave great quality but doesn't output correctly in many DVDs if it's progressive. OGMRip gives you a fluid GUI like Handbrake and the options of DVD::Rip while having the best codec support and quality output.
