The only thing that keeps one from the Kingdom of God is not accepting the free gift of having His ONLY Son as your Lord and Saviour. It is as simple as asking. Immorality, lack of ethics, lack of faith or even sin will not keep you from the Kingdom of God...Only not accepting Jesus will do that on the day of judgement when EVERY knee will bow before God.

I don't really think it's any of those things. I don't think of the Kingdom of God as a reward really but rather an imminent reality. So the only thing that could keep one out is just not wanting to be there in the first place.

Here is the Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Justification by Catholics (1999), Lutherans (1999), and Methodists (2006): By grace alone, in faith in Christ's saving work and not because of any merit on our part, we are accepted by God and receive the Holy Spirit, who renews our hearts while equipping us and calling us to good works. http://www.vatican.va/roman_curia/pontifical_councils/chrstuni/documents/rc_pc_chrstuni_doc_31101999_cath-luth-joint-declaration_en.html With love in Christ.
