  • I did a bit of a tour online to see what I could learn about "Little John Records". First, I found several records for sale. All were being sold as "vintage" or "collectible" or "childrens records". Several of these Little John Records are also listed at the ebay auction site. Second, those I found for sale - were all 78 RPM, not 33 1/3 RPM. Third, finally found a little article on the history of children's records and sure enough .. Little John Records comes up as a new kid on the block in 1950. It published combo books/records. All children's titles. http://www.vibrations.ca/articles/monthly/10_children.html From a collecting point of view, we always say to go for what we love - so lots of directions to go with children's recordings. But the article above notes that these records often come up on desirable things to collect lists.
