  • Not my body not my choice...
  • While I wouldn't have one, I don't think that the right should be given up. As I see it, there are two scenario's that lead a woman to abortion. It is either a heart wrenching decision based on health factors for either the mother or the unborn child, or it is something that a woman takes lightly and uses for birth control. In the first scenario, I wouldn't want to judge what the woman chose to do as no matter what something bad will happen. She may leave other children motherless if she stays pregnant and dies, or she may have a baby that lives a few painful days and dies. In the latter scenario, I think that the medical procedure is better then a baby ending up in a dumpster or drowned in a toilet because the 'mother' was careless. That is why I am pro choice.
  • Abortion just doesn't happen, there is a person who has to make this decision. I can't agree or disagree when I have not walked in their shoes.
  • Yes. I think it should be a man's choice.
  • Absolutely not! Innocent babies like that don't deserve to die. There are plenty of couples out there that would LOVE to have children and can't, if you do not want your own child, put him/her up for adoption and give those people who want children (and the baby himself of course) a chance!
  • I wouldn't, if it weren't for gross overpopulation of humans these days. I think we should just chop off a dick or two...
  • The only solid answer I can give you, is that I believe it should not controlled by the government. It should be the choice of the woman going through it, and definitely NOT the choice of some old man in the white house.
  • No..the exception being that the pregnancy threatens the life of the mother. Why..because there are far too many forms of birth control available to prevent a pregnancy..abortion has become a convenient form of birth control..made a mistake..what the heck, just kill it..not acceptable in my opinion :)
  • Silky Your place or mine?
  • No. It was never our decision in the first place. It was God's. He punishes for this. I speak from experience. I had one at 15 years old.. regret it.. and everyone who has had one has regretted it.
  • I think the woman should take that decision and it would be better if she discusses it with her partner. Abortion is not contraception. Abortion is the possibility to help people only get the children that they can manage if contraception somehow fails.
  • Personally, I would never have an abortion. However, I think it's up to the parent-to-be. If the mother cannot provide and support the child correctly, then why would you put the child into that position? You need to give the best to a newborn baby, and nothing less. Heck, you need to give the best to your children no matter how old. Another option is adoption. Again, I wouldn't give up my child. But if it'll be in the best interest of the baby, you need to decide.
  • No, I believe it has a spirit and soul from conception if someone can give a baby up for adoption that is even better but I beleive the baby has a right and we ought to do the best to give it that right.
  • No, because it violates 'the right to life' which is granted to everyone. If the mother doesn't stand on the side of her unborn child, who in the world will? It took the first and only sperm out of millions to fertilize her egg-- which means you already have a true fighter! That alone proves the fetus really wants to live. Remember, there may be accidental parents, but there is never an accidental child. Who appointed us to be judge and executioner to an innocent life anyhow-- especially our own flesh and blood?!!!
  • NO. I dont agree with abortion. why should that little baby have to die for the stupid mistakes that she made? I dont think its fair and I think that anyone that voluntarily goes our and gets an abortion is a murderer. I got pregnant at 17 years old. I am now 21. and as I sit and look at my beautiful son, I am so glad that I have him in my life. he is my whole world and so is my 11 month old son. I also have another one on the way. I am so proud of my kids.
  • I have fortunately never been in the situation where I had to make that decision. However, I think it should be up to the woman who is pregnant and no-one should judge her for making a very difficult and emotional decision which will affect the rest of her life.
  • NO. I DEFINITELY DON'T AGREE ABOUT ABORTION. IT IS A MAJOR SIN. ONCE YOU HAVE YOUR BABY OR A FETUS AT YOUR WOMB, YOU SHOULDN'T ABORT IT, BECAUSE IT'S A GOD'S GIFT. EVEN IF IT IS ONLY MISCARRIAGE.
  • yes, i agree with abortion...because i think the woman is the one that has to make her decision on having the baby or not...not the law
  • No i don't. But i am not going to get into an argument so i will leave it at that
  • If it's to stop a nuclear launch.
  • No I don't, let the DR begin
  • Yes, its an option. Options are good.
  • No not really but i suppose if women are put in that situation then they might be against it in principle but their views might change.
  • (.) (.) Yes
  • Yes, it saves young teen's careers. Well, any career for that matter lol.
  • yes, and pro lifers are fighting a pointless battle, how do you think the govenment is going to inforce a woman to keep her baby if they don't even know when a womans pregnant?
  • i wouldnt want to have one, but i think women should have the right to choose...
  • I do agree with abortion, but I feel abortions should be regulated. I don't feel abortion should be used as birth control. Sometimes we make mistakes and we have to man up and do what is right. Abortion is an option, but once a person makes a mistake, they should learn from it. Also, abortion is a good option because of rape and the mother being in danger.
  • from a fetal perspective.. yes!
  • Is it proposing something?
  • Sure...might I reccomend "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," I love how Charlie survived the abortion.
  • I think whether one agrees with its morality is irrelevant; if you think it is immoral, just don't get one...but don't rob everyone else of the option. Bottom line, I think it should be legal, and a private matter.
  • Wow. I have to deal with this when my mini docs are on GYN rotation. I believe a woman should have the right to choose. I don't agree with those who misuse the right. What do I mean by this? It truly disgusts me when we have patients showing up pregnant once again, with a history of SEVERAL prior abortions, I have seen women coming in with a history of up to 7 abortions. Why aren't these women using birth control? Why are 25% of them showing up anywhere from 20 weeks plus gestation, demanding their abortions this late? In my opinion, after the 3rd abortion, a women should have to undergo permanent sterilization before she is allowed to be discharged. Of course, that's in a fantasy world. (Crusader stepping down from her soapbox).
  • Having an abortion is kind of like mugging an old lady. Everyone agrees that it is an unfortunate event. Many people choose not to do it, while others decide that it would be a good idea. Many more argue that nobody has to mug an old lady, but everyone should have the legal right to choose to do so.+2
  • So true....
