In my opinion, it would be someone (goes for both men and women, by the way)who pretends love or affection for a person solely to take advantage of the money. For any couple, when person #1 is more interested in the possessions and income of person #2 than they are in the actual person #2, then they are considered to be a gold digger ... they establish a relationship with person #2, based on false feelings, just to have access to the possessions and income of person #2.
