  • Unless there’s something you’re not telling us, that’s called pornography and yes, it’s a sin—and a *very* addictive one, at that. I think the bigger question is if Jesus punishes *anybody*, the answer to which, I would argue, is an emphatic NO; we just lose blessings as a natural result of our actions. Of course, if you repent—which includes not only asking forgiveness but also forsaking the sin itself—then there’s nothing to worry about. Having had some pretty hefty addictions to overcome, myself, I empathize with you, but I can also say that although it’s sometimes difficult to overcome that kind of addiction, it’s *totally* worth it! :-) Blessings!
  • I don't think its a case of Jesus punishing you for looking at nude images. I think it is more a case of God knows what is healthy for you within the parameters of how He created your heart and mind to work. I think He knows and you know that it isn't good for you and that it will be self-correcting. Firstly, consider that it is hard to make a case for looking at nude pictures as "loving your neighbor as you love yourself. Stop looking at the bottom end of the picture for a moment. Look at the person's face. Does he or she look happy? Or does he or she look like death would be a relief? Do you think it is loving others to support an industry that exploits them in their poverty and desperation? Secondly, consider that looking at nude pictures or pornography tends to be isolating. This isn't something you do in a group. It is something that you do alone. God doesn't mean for you to be alone. It isn't healthy for human beings to be alone. We all need to be surrounded by loving friends and family. When you are alone with a picture and your hand, you aren't being fed by others and you aren't giving of yourself to others. Thirdly, sex is meant to build a bond with you and a partner. Can you build a bond with your hand? Fourthly, it is a very slippery slope from looking at those pictures to being caught in a Chris Hanson style sting. If you go looking for the people in those pictures to form a bond with them, you may end up spending time in jail and having the rest of your life destroyed. So rather than spending your time inside looking at pictures, why not get involved with others and build real, healthy relationships that will go somewhere and will be with you the rest of your life? Nude pictures are a pretty poor counterfeit of the real thing. Real life is better.
  • I don't think God "punishes" us, in this life or the next. I think on earth, God "allows" things to happen to us, but not as punishment. And as far as heaven or hell, I don't think you do or don't get it based on deeds, good or bad. As long as you ask God for forgiveness and you repent(turn away) then you are forgiven. However, you can't just do something and say "please forgive me" and continue in habitual sin. Jesus died for our sins (like we haven't all heard this before) and since he did this we no longer have to pay for our sins because he's already bared the burden. As long as you know this and believe it, the rest is details.
  • Plenty of nudity here if you ask me ; )
  • I don't think he would be too upset, considering the naked human form is some of his Dad's finest work.
  • It's rare that God and Jesus strike you down for single acts. But if it becomes a habit, you might want to question why you are doing this? Paul writes "It's better to marry than burn with passion" and that is true. If you are of an age where you are ready to marry, then start looking for a wife, through whom you can channel your sexuality. If you are too young to marry, then that is more difficult. You might like to find activities to keep yourself from obsessing with nude pics. After all, as a committed Christian, your eyes should be fixed on Him, and your activities directed to His glory. Talk to your pastor about it. All of us have been there, and we understand.
  • no but your parents might not be too happy.
  • Yes, He would make you paste little fig leafs on all the naughty parts.....
  • Contrary to what the church wants you to believe, God is very pro-nudity. Adam and Eve were in the garden nude and the first thing God asked when he found them was, "Who told you that your are nude?" Also David danced before the Arc of the Covenent nude; and Song of Songs is not only about nudity but also about sexual intercourse as well as oral and maybe anal intercourse. I do not believe Jesus will punish you nor will God do so either...after all didn't God create us in His image and say we are wonderfully and beautifully made? Why would God say then it is wrong to be nude or look at nude images? Think about that!
  • Revelation 20;12 will answer your question. This Scripture applies not only to you, but to every believer and non-believer alike, and based on you, the individual in lieu of what you know. When you learn of the truth, there's an expectancy that you respond. The self that likes to look at nude images ( I've suffered this a long time myself ) does not want you to change at all. If you 're convicted about it, ONLY you and your relationship with God can change this.
  • No but don't let you mum catch you
  • yes,but if you ask for forgivness he will forgive you.
  • Oh boy... some of the answers here are a little scary to be honest. No, no, no. First, Jesus doesn't punish people, it's not in his job description. Second, there are museums and churches all over the world full of beautiful nudes. Third, as human beings we are naturally curious about our bodies and the bodies of others.
  • No, his dad invented women! He probably would be quite proud!
  • Do you think a zombie like Jesus has the level of consciousness required to punish people? No, he doesn't. Plus, he's not even real.
  • Only if you're touching yourself in your naughty places at the same time. I've heard all he does is poke out your eyes.
  • He doesn't need to. You will punish yourself if it overwhelms your life and starts to control your time, crowd out productive activity, and cost you lots of money. He won't punish you, but He will help you if you get miserable with it.
  • From a purely Christian paradigm, pornography is considered a sin. If you are a believer in Jesus who accepts His sacrifice, though, by Christian dogma and doctrine you are not punished - you are forgiven from your sins. You should, though, attempt to stay away from sin. Here are the places in the Bible where looking upon a woman lustfully is addressed: Psalms 6:20-30 "...Do not lust in your heart after her beauty or let her captivate you with her eyes..." Job 31:1 "...I made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a girl..." Matthew 5:28 "...But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart..." It depends on the type of nudity.
  • God made you that way to like naked pictures, i think he would be disapointed if you did it too much, but he knows you like it.
  • If it's not his daughter, you will be OK, otherwise you will go blind, grow warts on your weenie, and your butt hole will seal right up!
  • yes. he will smite you.
  • What makes you think Jesus has any interest in punishing you? If anything, he spent effort protecting people from punishment. Let he among you without fault cast the first stone. Now look proudly at those nudie pictures, and thank god you're alive.
  • What did the Apostle Paul write on this subject? (1 Corinthians 6:9-10) Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. (NKJV) Why is this important? Jesus made it very clear that even looking at a woman with lust in your heart meant you had actually committed sexual sin: (Mt 7:21) Not every one that says to Me, "Lord, Lord," shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven. Jesus won't punish you? Let's start with the fact that it is NOT God's will that ANY should perish but that we all would come to repentance (that means turning from sin and living our lives WHOLLY to and for Him). Yet, if we don't take the gifts of forgiveness, cleansing and enabling grace and turn from sin, we will not enter into the Kingdom. The Bible says only those who overcome will receive THE reward of the crown of life... eternal life in Heaven with the Lord, rather than the eternal torment spent in Hell for living in disobedience to the Lord. (Jas 1:12) Blessed is the man who endures temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to them who love him. (Re 2:10) Fear none of those things that you shall suffer: behold, the devil will cast some of you into prison, that you may be tried; and you shall have tribulation ten days: be faithful to death, and I will give you a crown of life. But that call goes much deeper than abstaining from sexual sin. The Bible says that we are "bought with a price" and "our lives are not our own" meaning we now live for Him, His purposes. The mere Christianity, old time Gospel includes this... (Lu 14:26-27) "If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. (Lu 14:33) "So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple. It's called being Holy, or set apart for the Lord. Surrendering our lives to Him, wholly and Holy. If you're not aware of this scripture, memorize it: (Heb 12:14) ...Without holiness no one will see the Lord. Lastly, look at what Paul wrote to Christians who already have the Holy Spirit (it might challenge some of your theology): (2 Corinthians 6:14 - 7:1) Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people." Therefore "Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you." "I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the LORD Almighty." Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
  • Jesus can not punish, only god can punish you
  • I wouldn't worry about it, since he's been dead for almost 2000 years...have you seen him alive recently? Also, your interest in sex is perfectly normal...
  • Only if you're looking at them for sinful or unaproiate reasons. Not all nude pictures are porn or related to that, some are actually mean for others to view without all that disgesting-ness. So no, you shouldn't, but you can always ask for forgiven if you feel its bothering you.
  • Ooooooooooo I hope so. Jesus I need a spanking.
  • Yes! Jesus hates the naked human body, even though his father made it. Sigh. ( JK )
  • God made us like that, he made us to enjoy the nakedness of the opposite sex, how could he be mad at us because we did it?
  • No! He is dead and has no control over you. If there really was a Jesus, he was just a man. Think about it! What a silly idea.
  • Not if you're a doctor or an art lover. It's really all about attitude. Are you looking to appreciate the form? Or just to get off by using the image of someone's body? If the latter, you really punish yourself. God is more interested in saving than in punishing.
  • Jesus did say that "For a man to look upon a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery in his heart". So to look at nude images, unless it's of your wife or husband, would be a sin. What other reason than for lust would a person want to look at pornography? You will be punished in a way by loss of rewards in heaven if it continues but I don't think Jesus will slap you down or send a lightening bolt at you. Pornography can be very destructive to a persons life and to the lives around them.
  • Go ahead. Look all you want. In fact, you may even look at nekkid pix of Jesus, he likes that kinda stuff
  • i suggest praying for forgiveness but if you truly are his and you get deep enough into sin like a good father he will pull you back.
  • nude images of what? donkeys?cherubim? what! never heard of jesus punishing anyone
  • Pornography is undoubtedly performed by those who are committing adultery, and adultery is mentioned as the 7th of the Ten Commandments(Thou shall not commit adultery). Looking at nude images is obviously a sexually immoral act and 1 Corinthians 6:9 is clear on the consequences of that subject. You might say well I'm not committing adultery by watching porn but are you not looking at them lustfully Matthew 5:27-28 ("You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery.’ But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.). I pray you'll realize your error and repent from it. It might be a struggle, but look for God's strength through your weakness. God bless =)
  • absolutely not. sin and guilt is used only to control humans.
