  • if you want to build up strength and muscle quickly, you should do pretty high weights. don't hit your max unless you have someone to spot you though. also, do a couple sets of each exercise. to build your arms, you want to work on different parts on different days: chest: do chest press, either barbell or dumbell, and do it flat, incline, and decline. do incline flyes and pushups. shoulders: military press, flap your arms a bit (yeah... i don't really like doing shoulders...) biceps and triceps: bicep curls, both forward and reverse grip. tricep curls overhead or on a decline bench. tricep pushdowns. preacher curls. back: if you work your chest but not your back, your shoulders will be pulled forward and you will have bad posture and a hunched back. you have to work upper back, so do rows and flyes. you should not do all these muscle groups every day. pick one to concentrate on, and do another the next day. always warm up with lower weights, and do as many reps as you can per set(a spotting buddy is a really awesome thing to have!). stretch out when you are finished.
