I think she might make a very good mother if she's willing to sacrifice her own stuff for her child. You'd be surprised how many mothers wouldn't.
-
A mothers gotta do what she's gotta do for her baby! So if thats what you have to do then I see nothing wrong with it...
-
I think that is a pretty good mom if she is willing to sacrafice her things for the good of her baby.:)
-
I think it's a generous thing to do and shows how good of a mother she could be, but it also shows that she probably wont have the finances she will need to raise the child very well.
-
I think she sounds like a good mom. If I were you I'd try to help her out.
-
Nothing wrong with that in the least. We all make sacrafices to raise our kids. If money is tight, ever consider going to a garage sale or Good Will Store? You may also want to go to some church and they may have one to give you for free, or help you to obtain one, no questions asked.
-
Sounds like something a mom would do.
-
I think that is expected of the new mother, having children means putting your needs behind that of your children and that you are willing to sacrifice anything to give them what they need.
-
She's a good mum. She knows the mother's values. but I would ask, why not use a bottom drawer? My grandmother could not afford a crib for her kids either, and they made do with a drawer. If she is in trouble, help her out. THere are many good charities which have things for reasonable prices.

What a shame! I am assuming this woman is on the poverty line? But good for her. At least she's thinking about the welfare of her baby.
-
a baby must have a place to sleep. many mothers roll over on their infants and crush them. she makes a sacrifice for her child, this is only the beginning, there will be a lifetime of sacrifices made.
-
Sounds great to me! I would give anything for my baby girl!
-
She'll be a good mom, that's for sure. i feel bad for her. i would help her if I knew her. Has she no one to help? How sad.
-
She's gotta do what she's gotta do for her baby :).
-
I think if that's the only way she can afford to provide for her baby, then it's a selfless act and is very sweet.
-
A selfless act to provide for her baby, I wish I could help her...new moms should be able to give their babies the best possible start in this world.
-
I think if she needs to sell her possessions to afford a crib, she shouldn't be considering motherhood. Not to be unsympathetic here, but the reality of the situation is that the crib is only the first in a long, long series of expenses.
-
It shows that she'll be a great mother and actually puts her child first which is a lot more than I can say for a lot of mothers these days.
-
I feel for her but I think it's showing maturity and responsibility. She obviously knows that the care of her child is her responsibility, and she's ready to shoulder that by putting the needs of her baby before her own desires.
-
:( Parents, regardless of HOW or at what age they became parents, when they try to provide for their children like that; they're nothing short of honorable. That's the best word I could think of right now lol
