Not a chance.
-
Assuming you didn't butcher the cooking part, yeah! Chicken is tasty. So is cow......mmmm.
-
Depends on how good a cook you are.
-
Well, that depends on a lot a factors, can you cook? how hungry am I? Was the chicken ended in the most quick and painless way? Do you know the KFC secret recipe? If I am hungry and you answered yes to the rest, yeh why not?
-
Nope. In my opinion that is murder.
-
I wouldn't eat anything I wouldn't be able to handle the butchering of. It seems wrong to me to do so. I have no problem eating meat...except for lamb.
-
Of course why not?It would be fresh and tasty.Mmmm chicken :)
-
Yes. I love chicken.
-
Not the whole thing. Maybe just a thigh. What's on the side? Salad?
-
Yes. I'd like to help too. I'd like to know the correct way to kill, pluck and dress a chook. Could come in handy one day.
-
As long as I got to help, then I would eat it with no problem, I just couldn’t bring my self to eat the chicken after you had to do all that work.
-
Can I help pluck it? I love chicken.
-
Absolutely, I can help you if you'd like. :-)
-
Of course, if it was tasty why not ? I have killed chickens to cook them myself !
-
Maybe. Depends on how hygienic your kitchen is and how good you cook. But had you asked me to help in the killing I would have turned you down in a heartbeat.
-
I don't like to be acquainted with my food before I eat it. That's why I can't buy a live seafood and cook it myself, or finger a fish in a restaurant that has live fish in tanks. So, under normal circumstances, I probably wouldn't like to eat a chicken I saw slaughtered.
-
Sure would how ya cooking it??
-
yes
-
Ide eat it might even wash up after lol.But wouldnt bet on it ha ha
-
Why wouldn't I . But you'd have to put up with me skining and cooking a rabbit.....and gutting and grilling a trout or two(heads on ).
-
Yep. It will really 'fresh'.
-
sure - need some helping plucking it? I have a nice little Dijon mustard marinade we can throw that sucker into!
-
Of course.
-
Yes, and say thank you for all the work you did to prepare me a wonderful meal.
-
I'm not sure. I once caught, killed, and cleaned a salmon but I had it canned. I ate it later but I was OK with the overall process. Unfortunately the salmon didn't make any vocal noise and I remember seeing very little blood. I've never seen a chicken killed but I'm guessing that it would be bloody, noisy, and otherwise unpleasant. I don't think I would.
-
I'm hungry for chicken wings and there's only 4 pieces, if you include the shoulder, on a chicken so you'll have to get a few chickens.
-
I'm not sure. I probably would.
-
Sure. Sounds good to me.
-
I'd be like Chris Tucker in Rush Hour, remember he's trying to get directions from the lady at the restaurant, she thinks he wants a chicken, so she's going to kill it, and then he stops her and then ends up carrying around the live chicken in a cage.
-
Fine with me if I could see you were doing a proper, safe job of the butchering. We've raised and prepared our own meat for years.
-
Yes.
-
That is a bad argument! An animal has a much higher level of consciousness and sophistication. They DO seek survival and food much like a plant, im not disagreeing with that. Im not here to compare a plant to a living creature, im here to state my opinion that to eat an animal - just because we can - is wrong to me. Their purpose in life is not to be eaten by us, nor for us to extrict unnecessary pain upon them when we have the knowledge to know that they do feel pain similar to how humans do. Even if they didnt feel pain, it'd stil be wrong. We can live without eating meat and mostly far more healthily too. Its not just manmade ethics and morals that make killing an animal for our personal gain wrong.
-
Of course! Wasting it would be to dishonor the fact that it gave it's life.
-
I have seen a chicken getting killed, and then I did eat it. It used to happen at the old school butcher's shop. They would weigh the alive chicken, and then kill it right in front of your eyes and then pack it for you. As a kid I used to find it fascinating.
-
Why not? My Grandmother used to do it all the time! We knew those hens that she was preparing and that came from her backyard did not commit suicide!
-
May only concern would be how you prepared it! Preferably fried, whoops, I see you said dressed so you must be roasting it! That's yummy too!
-
No. Years ago I saw a chicken being killed and for the next 3/4 years i did not touch chicken.
-
No. I witnessed this once, and I was actually the one to dress and cook it. I took one bite and threw up. I guess I'm a little of a hypocrite. I'm not going to stop eating meat, it's too good, but I want NO HAND in the process of turning it from live animal to neatly packaged meat.
-
Only the Breasts and Thighs... Hope this helps.
-
I don't eat meat, so no. Even if I thought differently, and I did, probably still no. If I saw the chicken alive, I'd get all attached to it.
-
Sure.
-
As long as I didn't have to touch or assist in the execution of the bird, sure.
-
no thanks. you can do that when i'm not looking.
-
I have only one thing to say about that.... What time's dinner ? ;-)
-
Well, I wouldn't kill the chicken or dress it when I was a kid, but I plucked a many of them. And I didn't eat chicken for years. There is nothing quite like the smell of scalded feathers to turn your stomach.
-
Nahh..I am not a huge fan of chicken..now if you wanna run down there to the pasture and grab a cow..... :)
-
Being a vegetarian on compassionate ground for so long, that's not much different to me than if you slaughtered a newborn human baby infront of me, disembowelled, cleaned the empty carcase and cooked it and then ask if I would eat it. Murder has many cunning other names for convenience sake and indeed, not long ago in history, certain unfortunate black people could not be murdered because under white laws, they were not humans and their murders were not recognized by the laws of convenience of the whites. At the time, judges who believed in and upheld those laws were considered moral and ethical citizens of society that frequent the churches every Sunday. Speciesism, like racism and other forms of savage bullyings, ultimately results in the murder and death of the weak by the strong for excuses only the strong, not the weak, would agree to, for the bullied has no rights in the eyes of the bully. The human species is the biggest shame to evolution which has brought them up only to behave as barbaric, bullying cowards towards other defenseless earthlings. Judges today don't worship the laws for black people that their barbaric great grand parents took for granted, but they are far from righteous themselves, for they still believe they have the right to murder and rob another innocent life of his/her flesh by virtue of the fact that he/she is defenseless and not human. By the way, they still go to churches as well, and the whole world still think they are the most righteous animals on Earth ! Yes, the human species understands no shame for if they do, they would not be able to live with their hypocrisy.
-
Yes, I've watched it done before and ate the results.
-
Heck, yes.
-
eww... no!!
-
I would at least try some.
-
fuck ya chicken sounds good right now... I feel bad about it having to die but much better about us eating it than the other animals, bacteria and mold that also find chicken tasty.
-
Yes, If I would be REALLY hungry. Otherwise, no. I think most would be disgusted by watching someone kill a chicken plucked it and dressed it and cooked it etc. I know it's food but this is my opinion.
-
I sure would; do you like rabbit?
-
Sure I would eat it.That wouldn't bother me a bit.
-
yes my grandmother did that+5.
-
I would find every aspect of what you did to be a disgusting demonstration of de-evolution.
-
YES IF YOU BAKED IT.
-
Yes
-
Didja wash your hands? ;-)
-
Make it southerned fried then hell yeah il have breast.
-
Yes i would thank you be over at 5.00
-
bbq that yard bird and i'm in!
-
Assuming the "it " refers to the chicken, if I am hungry,if it is offered, if I want chicken and maybe on the side dish and and a few other variables - I may. +5
-
of course! I'd thank you for the meal as well.
-
Hell no. I eat meat but I don't much like it when my food looks like the animal it came from, never mind seeing it killed in front of me. Truth be told I would be a vegetarian if I actually liked vegetables etc. I just really like the taste of meat. I don't eat much else. =P
