  • I'm actually pretty hard-core. I've received many "compliments" from dentists, doctors, and medics for my endurance of pain.
  • I don't think I do, but my doctor seems to think my tolerance is very high. I guess it's difficult to judge. I know that I don't like physical pain, but I grew up with a "work through the pain" sort of dad.
  • Better than most apparently. I have a very high pain threshold.
  • LOL...you're asking someone who went through childbirth without so much as a stinking Tylenol how well I handle pain? Exceptionally well I'd say...I didn't punch the resident(2 feet from me) when he told the nurse to tell me not to push until the Dr got there
  • not bad...emotional pain is another story.
  • Better than I handle emotional pain
  • Very well...I don't like to take anything. Even for migraines. I just deal with it..
  • I can take it.
  • Generally, I'm a baby, but it depends on the type of physical pain. Tattoo-no problem; knee surgery-pain killers please; migraine-just give me a dark room to sleep in.
  • it hurts...
  • After reading everybody else's answers, I thought I did, but never once have I gotten any compliments from a dentist or doctor. Usually I have too much to do to pay a whole lot of attention to pain. It gets in the way. But how I compare with the average person is unknown to me. My husband is a wuss, though :D
  • Not very well...ow!! It HURTS!!
  • I can take it pretty well.
  • If I am entirely in control of it (and the pain is moderate), I can handle it, but if I am not in control or the pain is worse, I don't handle it very well at all. And as to make me doubly fucked, I seem to be resistant to painkillers. They always wear off after the minimum amount of time, take ages to work, and do not rid me of pain entirely (they just take some of the edge off).
  • Let's just put it this way, I am a very VERY strong woman in that respect. I have a [physical] pain tolerance higher than anyone in my family. O_o
  • Not to bad, Never really notice pain often got use to constantly cutting myself on bits of metal and nails, The one thing that does seem to effect me is things like hornet stings and posions from animals, it seems if i cant see whats causing the pain it hurts alot more. I dont seem to get emotional pain but i think i repress alot of it down which will make me explode one day knowing my luck.
  • I'm a tough cookie. I would say pretty well.
  • Heart pain is scarry, stomach ulcer before I cured it, hurted like hell, I was not able to tolerate it calmly, when delivering my daughter, I was cheering up my friend, so she wouldn't be scared, headache I just take a pill - would never stand it. But there is another kind of pain, that is used in certain type of sexual communication. Pain for pleasure - this one I not only like, I look forward to get it and expand my limits.
  • I handle it well, having a high tolerance, though it was getting a bit much when I split my finger open at work a while ago and went to hospital. The nurse said "oh you're a brave guy," then a student nurse came in and she said again to her how brave I was, repeated it a couple of times as I got fixed up, and when she took me through to the workmate who had driven me to hospital said it again to him. I felt like saying, "I'm a grown man not eight years old!". I half expected to get a wowwipop from her for being so brave.
  • I have a high tolerence for pain. I have a messed up back as well as some rib issues that have been testing my patience for 8 years now with no answers.
  • I have a very high tolerance to pain. I have many painful illness, including gout in three parts of body, busted knee and back issues. Also I have had other pains and sugeries and I usually refused pain medications in hospital or out. When I do take something people who know me know it is then KICking my behind be time.
  • I'd say pretty well, in fact, most of my minor injuries I get I don't even feel and someone points out I'm bleeding or bruised or something and I'm like, "well how did that get there?". I've also been called a masochist (or however you spell it), even though I really don't like pain at all, I can just deal with it.
  • I'm the weakest person I know.
  • I think I'm pretty tough...not sure if it's true but I THINK I am =)
  • Pretty well. I gave birth to a 10lb baby and my drugs wore off during delivery.
  • It depends on the degree. I can't tolerate headaches or toothaches but other areas of the body I can tolerate pain pretty well. Oh yeah, and the stomach, I can't take that one either.
  • lets put it this way... during my high school football game in the second quarter i broke my ankle i just had them wrap ity up and i went back in the game i was out for a total of three plays...
  • Better than most people but it has worn me out and changed my brain patterns. Research on this has shown people with chronic pain have brain shrinkage. I am in chronic pain.
  • I have been told i have a high tolerance for pain. I have had a few very painful medical procedures. So you kind of get use to it.
  • I think i can take it better than before. Getting used to it
