Keep a wild animal as a pet? Not my cup of tea. No desire to domesticate a wild animal. A friend of the family runs a raptor rescue, though, and I would be down with something like that.
-
I would love any wild cat!!! Love them ALL!!! They are beautiful creatures. But wouldn't. I think it is wrong and wild animals belong in the wild or if they need to be elsewhere, ONLY an accredited Zoo or Rescue organization. I see too much abuse and exploitation in the news associated with wild animals. It makes me sick.

This might seem strange, but I've heard possums can make excellent pets if you raise them from birth. I'll probably never have the opportunity, but I've always wanted to try raising one. I think they're cute! Along more normal lines: My family had a pair of sweet Boston Terrier brothers when I was growing up, and they're the best dogs you can think of. Both patient and playful, not to mention stately. When I'm in a postion to have a dog again, it will definetly be a Boston Terrier.

My wife! But I gave up on domesticating her a LONG time ago.

It is generally agreed that man is the most dangerous of the animal species. Man regularly kills its own kind, parents eat their children, children kill their parents, man regularly slaughters its own kind for no apparent reason, man steals from man, steals things, steals spouses, steals life. So if I could, I would domesticate man and have man as a pet. Sorry if this sounds sexist, I mean, of course, mankind or personkind or whatever. You understand. We need domestication.
-
I would have a bear. They seem to be very cuddly.
-
I really can't chose. It would be between a tiger or a wolf.

I think gazelles and antelopes are pretty, it might be kind of neat to have one of those.
-
Hypothetically, a tiger, or a dolphin or killer whale in an massive pool... But realistically I'll stick to having my rats and cats, as I'd much rather the tiger, whale and any other like it stay wild, undomesticated and FREE = ) x
-
I would have a dog and call him coochie.
-
A chimpanzee. I wouldn't "domesticate" him though, he would be part of my family and eat at the dinner table with us. He could be my little brother.
-
Theoretically I'd chose a wolf or a tiger, OR perhaps something like a raptor or dragon neither of which we have existing (or if we do, we sure don't know where they are!) Though I'm happy with my dog. =)
-
A leopard.... though I feel guilty about wanting to domesticate him..... I want one of those boneless chickens!
-
