  • never done either
  • I turned my brother in because i was scared so i texted his lisence plate number to the cops.
  • I have, once, a few years ago. This truck (nothing against those who drive trucks) was barreling through traffic and weaving in and out of the lines. It was a collision looking for a place to happen. I called 911 on my cell and reported it. It was stopped by a road block about fifteen minutes later. I would do it again. People need to be on the watch for these things. The troopers can't patrol every single highway or mile all the time. They do appreciate our help.
  • Never turned anyone in and never should have. I am usually the designated driver so all is well when I am around.
  • Probably a couple or three years ago... Coming home on the interstate, we were passed by a car weaving in and out of traffic, cutting cars and semis off, etc. We called 911, and I stayed with the car. I kept the cops informed on where they were, the license number, make, model, and color of car, etc. through 911. The first cop missed us... We told him when we went by him. As we hit a straight-away, we were told to just pull over... The cop had seen him and was right behind us. We did, and waited a while, watching what was going on about 1/2 mile ahead. FINALLY a cop came back, and told us they were being arrested, and had drugs in the car, too. He thanked us, and we went home.
  • Never, i have never known anyone driving under the influence.:-)+
  • about two weeks ago I was driving and the person in front of me was driving as if they had too much to drink. I called the law and gave them my location and direction and told them they should check it out. I do not know if they were driving under the influence or not but I did contact the police.
  • I rarely have seen sketchy driving where I've lived. But once when I was out with a friend in the afternoon, we were following a car in the countryside that was definitely driving funky, weaving, fast and slow, all over the road. So we used a cell phone and called the police who caught up to them just where the road came into a small town. We had stayed behind them thinking they might have an accident and need help.
  • I don't drink and I'm not fond of bars or parties (I'm an INFP, we don't like loud crowded places) so I'm rarely in situations where I see people drunk. I did call 911 about a semi I saw weaving all over the road a few months ago. He was up on the mountable median 3 times in a mile. I don't think the police got him though.
  • I stay away from alcohol(personal choice as well as taking stomach pills) and those that tend to abuse it. I turned someone in once before, many years ago. That's the only time I knew for sure that someone was definitely drunk and driving at the same time. I have no cell phone, but see idiots using poor judgement as far as driving goes all the time. Hard to tell if they're drunk or trying to read the paper, putting makeup on or employing other distracted driving tactics. I back way off and let others pass me. Let them deal with it. I see quite a few violations every time I drive, makes me wish I was a cop in an undercover car. That'd be a hoot and a holler for sure. Mostly speeding violations, though. Thanks for the adding, BTW!
  • Was in the car with Love and we called someone in for swerving, sometime this past summer.
  • i never turned anyone in, its against my principles... but i have stopped friends from driving drunk before, that's common sense for me lol don't want that guilt all my life how've u been phillisn? :)
  • Interesting question. None of my friends drink so it would have to be a stranger on the road driving recklessly..and I would telephone that in. My husband had called 911 to let them know someone was on the INTERSTATE going in the wrong direction in the fast lane.
  • Never and never. My friends are just responsible I guess. That, and there is a stretched limo in our town that will come pick you up for free if you're drinking.
  • I've never reported a DUI. Once when I was working for AT&T we were on the Ventura Freeway (Highway 101) and I saw a guy drive by us while he was sucking on a dope pipe. I would have reported him, but nobody who's working in an AT&T central office is allowed to use a cell phone and I don't think the driver had one in his SUV. If I thought I saw someone DUI I would definitely report them now that I'm retired and always have my cell phone with me.
  • Oh Phillis..I should turn ppl in at least 3x a week for drunk driving. I work in a bar every friday and saturday nights...so I guess I'm an enabler. My whole town is one big drunk, except for me and very few friends of mine.
  • A few decades ago when I was a child. My mother and myself went to the very bar where my father was drinking, reported to the police that he was drunk, and would be driving the car parked nearby. The cop said he could do nothing until he got in the car. No drunk driving accidents, but he died before his 70th birthday.
