• Edgar Allen Poe - The Telltale Heart
  • I love Edgar Allan Poe's stories... my favorites ones are 'The Tell-Tale Heart', 'The Cask of Amontillado', 'The Masque of the Red Death', and 'The Pit and the Pendulum'.
  • The Lottery by Shirley Jackson
  • "Surviver Type" from Stephen King is my fav short story.
  • Silent Snow, Secret Snow....takes you into the mind of a person going insane and how normal he appears on the outside. Written with amazing sensitivity to the character.
  • Heh, I've wrote a few of those. I doubt most people would find them as funny as I do, however. I have a severely f'd up sense of humor. Here's one I recently made on a blog of mine, titled Floppy the Psychotic Bunny:
  • The lions.
  • The Cask of Amontillado by Edgar Allen Poe. I didn't like it. Brilliantly written, yes, but so disturbing.... Oh, and Hopscotch, too. That story made me squirm. (Poe again. He never fails)
  • Bloody Mary.
  • This isnt demented, so I apologize. It is political (please dont hate me :) But I found it so funny when a friend forwarded it to me. I just think it is beyond brilliant in its satire:
    • Willy D Billiams
But as for DEMENTED, I agree with the first post. A Telltale Heart.
  • Damon Knight's "To Serve Man". It has some ETs coming to Earth and helping humans in many ways. One scientists finds a book owned by an ET whose title he translates as "How To Serve Man". He translates the entire book and realizes it is a cookbook.
  • cant think of one
