  • I don't use a humidifier, but if I did I would dispose of the water in the garden.
  • I think I may be confused here, but doesn't a humidifier put water into the air rather than take it out?
  • I don't have a humidifier. However, I'm contemplating saving the water that goes down the drain while I'm waiting for the hot water to come through the tap. I think this country probably wastes more water waiting for the hot water to come through the running tap than any other total amount wasted by any other issue.

It only costs a hundred bux to get a tankless water heater. It will fit under your sink and give instant hot water. Of course the electrician charges another hundred to install an outlet, and the plumber charges a hundred to connect it so there are no leaks. Such a bargain!

Excellent idea. I hate to waste anything. There are future generations after us.
  • I water my flowers with the water, water taken from the air to drink from the inside of a house seems od to me after watching a news special on how air quality with in your home can be worse then that of out doors.
  • 5-21-2017 I guess you mean a dehumidifier. Water taken from the air also contains dirt and odors and disease organisms taken from the air. You really don't want to drink it, but it's good for plants.
  • Don't be stupid. Just flush it down the sink/toilet for recycling. That water contains a lot of copper and particles which need to be cleaned out before it's fit for use.
