I've sold one to a pawn shop, gutted one for parts and put the case in scrap metal, and passed two on to friends after upgrading.

I bring my old computer components and the ones at work to a recycling center.

I have a whole bedroom full of old computers and such. There is at least 25 printers and 20 old computers. They all work, so i won't toss them. They can be used for PLC's.

An old one or two of mine were formatted, then tossed in the trash can. Where it ends up from there I have no idea.

The mobile home park, that I live in, has a "E-Waste" receptacle that is available to the tenants. Very handy.

I gave my old computer to my friend's daughter, but if I had nobody to give it to, I'd advertise it on Freecycle.com.

Our city has a curbside pick-up specifically for discarded computer components.

A man in my town takes old computers and does them up for young kids to use. They can still play all the old games on them and it helps with their hand/eye co-ordination. His friend gave my second computer and I gave him my previous computer. I don't like throwing away things that can be recyled.
