  • She might be warm, but it's okay if she is, as the puppies need to be kept very warm. They can't hold their own body heat yet so need to be kept warm for the first 2 weeks. She might still have a puppy left that needs to come out. She might have an infection. You should always take them to a vet after whelping to make sure that she and the litter are fine.
  • very normal, she may be hot, but she is also very tired from working so hard. she is also still contracting to expell any other stuff when the pups nurse. this can go on for up to a week. if its hot get a towel wet and lay it on her to help cool her off.
