  • I met this guy once. It was a blind date. When my friend pointed him out, I hit her. He was 5'6" and only about 105lbs. I thought I was looking at a leprechaun. We went on our date and he was really sweet. Oh p.s. dec will be our 4th wedding anniversary.
  • Yes, because I might have seen a side of him that no one else has seen.
  • I cant speak for if it was because he was boring but i am dating a guy who all my girlfriends seem to hate because he is "bad." All my guy friends like him though so idk what's up with that. but when it comes to dating anyone i dont care what other people think if i like him i dont care what anyone says. the guy im with now is the most fun I've ever had in my life and i dont care if they dont like him good for them... they're so full of hate :(
  • Yes, because all my friends thought my current wonderful husband of 14 years was boring in their standards (he liked different kind of literature, talked religion, etc.) and he has made the most wonderful boyfriend, then husband and father for the last 17 or more years!! I think those friends are boring now because my husband introduced to SO MANY new things. He opened my mind to new things and new ways. I feel sorry for them now.
  • Yes. I did. The man I dated and finally married did not fit in with my biker friends. Oh well. They had to learn to accept each other and get along for my sake. Those who could deal did and we are all still friends. Those who could not, driffed away. True friends will be with you no matter what. Several offered to sneak me away on my wedding day (just in case I wanted to change my mind. LOL).... when I declined, they were still with me through out the rest of the day and our lives together.
  • yes, all that matters is that i like him...my friends would have to grow to like him if i'm going to date him becaue obviously i see something in him if i want to date him in the first place...
  • I've been married for several years, but when I was single, I certainly didnt let my friends have that much influence on who I dated.
  • I didn't ever care what my friends thought. Yes, I had a boring and lame boyfriend, I married him:)
  • Yes :)
  • Yes. No one knows what a relationship is like except the two people in it. Who cares what anyone else thinks? Ignorant people can label quiet people as boring and lame, but that's so silly. Shallow waters make noise, they are smooth and silent when they run deep.
  • From a guy: Don't let your friends' influence on whether you shouls date this guy or not, unless he's a creep of course. But if THEY thought he's " boring and lame"...this shouldn't dictate YOUR thoughts, you have a brain too, step up in it! What's important is does this guy treat you right...is he a gentleman? This is the stuff that sticks.
  • yeah, ESPECIALLY for those reasons . If I had idiots friend like that , then Id prolly have to worry about them trying to get with my guy behind my back !
  • I wouldn't let my friends decide for me. If I enjoyed his company, had fun with him, and really liked him, of course I would date him. Your friends are not the ones that are dating him. If you two hit it off, they will learn to like him, and be happy for you, if they are your true friends.
  • i was lucky that my wife's friends liked me. i'm sure that her sister called me boring and lame. yes, i've turned out to be a faithful, loving husband and father and lame in that i like peace and quiet with occasional bits of rowdiness thrown in there! her sister's working on her 10th guy. i'd never just throw away friends because they don't like a guy. if all your friends are saying, "i saw him cheating on you with so-and-so, i'd wonder" if, on the other hand, they're saying things like, "he's boring", i'd recommend that you wait and find out if he's boring everywhere and if you can trade off excitement for faithfulness ...
  • Yes I would. It shouldn't matter what the hell your friends think. At the end of the day, you are the one dating him NOT YOUR FRIENDS!!!!
  • yeah deffinetely
  • i'm dating him not my friends..and he is dating me..not my friends..so they need to shut their mouthes and let me be happy with who makes me happy..not who entertains them..some friends they are..
  • Yes your friends are prob dating assholes.
  • depends on what they mean by lame. though i will listen to my friends' opinions but i will not base my decision there solely. especially not when they don't have some valid reason why they don't like him.
  • Yes, i think i would laugh at them if they ever said something like that to me.
  • boring and lame are usually accompanied by respectful and faithful, so......hell yes i would!
  • Yes, we all have different tastes. I'm dating him because I like him, what they think doesn't really matter! I may not like who they're dating either.
  • It is not about what your friends want... They are not the ones dating him. It is about what you want, and if you like him, keep dating him and see where it goes.
  • I'm lucky enough to be able to think for myself. I wouldn't care if they thought he was boring if I thought he was great.
  • I left the guy I`m with now three years ago because of what my friends thought. I got back with him last month after not talking to him for three years straight. It`s like I never pulled my hands away from him now. We`re happy together and he has forgive my past mistakes completely. :)
  • yes. its up to you, not your friends
  • I not only dated him, I married him. and out of all my friends I am the happiest.
  • I would date who I wanted to and the heck with what everybody else thinks.
  • yes i will cuz what maters is what we feel 4 each other not 4 what frinds think cuz i'm the that will date him not them
  • Whi is in the relationship? You and your guy? You and your friends? You and your guy and your friends? You have to decide about your own love life, not your friends, I can promise you they wont be the ones left going home alone every night!
  • Having your friends like your man is pretty important. For starters, assuming your friends aren't over-judgmental and pretty reasonable people, they may see some things in your boyfriend that you don't. I'd say consider what your friends think, but ultimately let your feelings decide. You're the one who has to bear with him, not them.
  • yep your friends don't know everything
  • yea i would because its not what they see in him, its how u feel about him. eventually once they see that you really like and care about him, they will accept him if they are true friends
  • My friends don't dictate who my other "friends" are. Those people aren't my friends if they can't go along with what makes me happy.
  • if i liked him i wld and if my friends think that he is boring and lame well then its good they arent dating him
  • Yes, and actually have b4 my friends did'nt get along with him at all but i still stayed with him.why should your friends have any saying in who you should date or not? do you tell them who to date and do they listen to you? probably not. I say go along with your feelings and not friends when it comes to love.
  • I've met a girl at work whom I thought was boring and lame. Turns out, she was a undercover freak. Seriously, never says a word at work. But at the clubs, parties, etc etc.. She is crazy.
  • Sure, if I liked him.
  • they're not the ones dating him so yes
  • i guess, i mean if hes cool to me why would i care what they said? besides all my friends are guys anyway.
  • You would be the one dating him, not your friends, so their opinions of him really do not matter if you care for him and see him differently then they do.
  • all the more reason to date him. They don't see what you see in him. as long as they aren't saying bad things then it's a go. if there were bad mouthing him maybe you should assess things.
  • awww if i really liked him then yes ...none of my family or frendz like my bf...at all! but ive been with him for like a year
  • I wuold hope you would especially if all your friends are losers.
  • yes i would.
  • Of course. I've done it before and so have my friends.
  • Guys who are described as boring and lame can be the funnest guys you'll ever be with, actually. Anyway, I don't think of those guys as boring as lame. I think of them as responsible, mature, and respectful. What's not to like about a guy like that?
