  • it's what their told
  • Robert Darko.
  • Ignorance..
  • We are told that we can't ALL be right. I'm not sure why. I'm not a J.W. BTW, just an outside observer.
  • Intolerance to other ideas. I think when a religion preaches that it is the only one that is right, it is blind to the similarities of other religions.
  • Jesus is God's only Son and the only way.
  • Well, personally, I don't think that only one religion is right. There is nothing that would have me believe that there is any one particular sect of belief that prevails entirely over any other. Could there not be elements from most all religions that are "right," in some frame of speaking? Many religions, if not all, have one work toward being a better person and a set of some kind of moral standards. I don't know... In my opinion, provided the person has a good-heart, they're in the right whether they be a Christian or Buddhist or what have you. For others, indoctrination from birth or some other keypoint in life, fear of prosecution after death, specific teachings or phenomena... There are a number of things. It's up to the person, really.
  • I don't. They're all wrong!!!
  • We'll there's something that most people don't realize, for one reason or another. And that is that many get "RELIGION" & "DENOMINATIONS" confused or mixed up with one another. Every time I hear or see the word "RELIGION". I can not stop thinking of a place in the BIBLE where it speaks of "PURE RELIGION". This is found in the book of JAMES Chapter 1 & V-27..........M.C.S.
  • I retract.
  • I don't. In fact, I don't think that there is any religion that is "right". We're ALL just mucking around as best we can. Jehovah's Witnesses, and Christians in general of all denominations, tend to believe that there is only one religion that is right, because the common (almost universal) belief is that humans are born into a state of sin (or at least possess an insurmountable tendency to sin). Humans are unable in any way to redeem ourselves. The punishment for all sin is eternal damnation and torture in Hell by a Deity, Yahweh. (Jehovah's Witnesses differ from common Christian belief about the nature of Hell. It isn't eternal torment, it is the end of a person's existence. http://watchtower.org/e/20020715/article_02.htm) The only way to avoid Hell is to accept the blood sacrifice of Yeshua (Jesus Christ) to cover your sins. Thus, if you have not accepted the blood sacrifice of Yeshua, and Yahweh as your Deity (which would, by definition, make you a Christian), you are going to go to Hell. There is no other way (or path) to avoid it. Therefore, all religions who do not preach this path are incorrect.
  • I dont think there is.
  • only islam is true and right religion.
  • I don't think that way. I think that most religions stared out as something helpful, but over time, the ignorance of those who interpret the old books get things all mixed up. Here is an example: Jesus said: "I will have mercy, and not sacrifice." He was quoting Hosea 6:6 which appears to be a condemnation of the idea. So what do we have now? We have a sacrifice based religion!!! So in all probablility most relgions are way off course... and this will explain how and why these things get turned upside-down: http://gospelenigma.com
  • The religion that follows the two basic commandments which are to love God and to love your neighbor. Also, the true religion would be publicized and shared with others.
  • Are all religions acceptable to God? Judg. 10:6, 7: “The sons of Israel again proceeded to do what was bad in the eyes of Jehovah, and they began to serve the Baals and the Ashtoreth images and the gods of Syria and the gods of Sidon and the gods of Moab and the gods of the sons of Ammon and the gods of the Philistines. So they left Jehovah and did not serve him. At this Jehovah’s anger blazed against Israel.” (If a person worships any thing or any person other than the true God, the Creator of heaven and earth, it is evident that his form of worship is not acceptable to Jehovah.) Mark 7:6, 7: “He [Jesus] said to them [the Jewish Pharisees and scribes]: ‘Isaiah aptly prophesied about you hypocrites, as it is written, “This people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far removed from me. It is in vain that they keep worshiping me, because they teach as doctrines commands of men.”’” (Regardless of whom a group profess to worship, if they hold to doctrines of men instead of the inspired Word of God, their worship is in vain.) Rom. 10:2, 3: “I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God; but not according to accurate knowledge; for, because of not knowing the righteousness of God but seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.” (People may have God’s written Word but lack accurate knowledge of what it contains, because they have not been taught properly. They may feel that they are zealous for God, but they may not be doing what he requires. Their worship is not going to please God, is it?) From these scriptures above we see that No not every religion is accepted by Jehovah God. So I look at my religion Jehovah's witness...and I see we do exactly what Jehovah commanded us and Jesus as well that no other religion is doing
  • narrow mindedness... i know that i have expanded mine... maybe too far, who knows???
  • because all the ones we have today are totally incorrect. surely there must be one preacher who knows what is going on. that is the church i want to visit.
  • Its a relationship not religion. Funny huh Jesus is the only one that ressurected. He is the way the truth and the life.
  • I think there is only one entirely correct church because God revealed himself to the prophet Joseph Smith in 1820 and told him that at that time there were no churches acceptable to him. How could that be? Check this link out: http://mormon.org/mormonorg/eng/basic-beliefs/the-restoration-of-truth/the-great-apostasy More about God's visit with Joseph Smith: http://newsroom.lds.org/ldsnewsroom/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=750de5c45d19f010VgnVCM100000176f620aRCRD&vgnextchannel=3e0511154963d010VgnVCM1000004e94610aRCRD
  • Nothing. There is no religion that is absolutly right. In fact at this time I'm pretty sure that they are ALL wrong!
  • I believe there is value in all spiritual traditions, and that the dogmas and and theology don't matter. My denomination (Unity) and others explicitly state this.
  • They go by every word in the bible
  • A powerful and evil brainwash created and manipulated by satanic persons from the WTS. My 2 cents.
  • Nothing makes me think that. I don't believe there is one "right" religion, which is why I'm not religious
  • when you research the bible, you come to the conclusion that the true God and Creator of mankind from the beginning requires of humans to worship a certain way. not different ways or many ways, according to what is convenient to each one. he is a God of order, and when you look at all his creation you can see that he is a most organized God. i highly doubt that his angelic creation are of different religions. they all worship him unitedly and uniformly. he requires the same of his human creation. many religions will dispute this, of course they do not want to believe otherwise. doing so would obligate them to acknowledge the one true religion that most hate. this religion exists. it is as obvious as the nose on our faces. who is this religion? an observant person will know right away. if i told you, you will not believe it, but it is very active proclaiming bible truths earthwide, unlike any other religion. if you are an honest person, pray to the true God to help you find it and before you know it someone will knock at your door in response.
  • Jehovah God being the God of truth in no uncertain terms tell us in his Word how he wishes to be worshipped. Jesus Christ said that the Father must be worshipped "with spirit and truth." (john 4:24) for an individual to find out where that truth is he must embark on a personal journey, using the bible as the guide to determine what or where that truth is. it can only be found in one place and with one organization, not in many. in matthew 7:14 Jesus Christ mentions a road (not many roads)that lead to eternal life. this road is narrow and cramped, meaning most would not accept this road. the apostle paul wrote to the christian congregation in corinth that he wished for all of them to "speak in agreement, and that there should not be divisions among you, but that you may be fitly united in the same mind and in the same line of thought." for this to be possible the true religion would need to educate its members so that they are all in agreement with bible doctrine and beliefs. Jehovah's Witnesses earth-wide are receiving the same education and believe in the same manner, we are of "one mind" just like the apostle paul said christians should be. so, if you should go to spain and speak to a witness there and ask him his/her views on any bible subject he will respond in the same way a witness would in this country, or in any other part of the globe. what other religion can claim the same? why is it that the rest of the other religions don't enjoy this unity? i hope this will spur on someone to find the truth! it is as obvious today as the nose on our faces, sadly many are being misguided and are very prejudiced against Jehovah's Witnesses. please don't think us as thinking we are superior because we are convinced without a shadow of a doubt that we have the truth! if anything we hope many, many come to learn the truth, before it is too late. we will soon be told that our door-to-door message of hope for the future is over, don't waste time. this system of things will soon pass away into the history books, as so many prophecies are telling us and we are beginning to see the end right before our very eyes.
  • There probably is only one that is 100% right, but I doubt that anyone here on earth has found it yet. For now, I think many religions have glimpses of the truth. I don't think God expects us to adhere to one faith blindly. Religions are led by men after all. The conscience goes a long way. That's why He invented it.
  • Actually I don't think that. Each religion says they are the one true religion and that can't be possible. I turned away from religion years ago when I was told by a former friend that I was "going to hell" if I did not say that "Jesus was my Lord and Savior". I wouldn't say it and we are no longer friends (but she has to tell me every so often that she prays for me so that I will see the light). Sheesh.
  • We don't know if one religion is right or not. We say our religion is right because of what we were taught when we were young. The only thing to do is not fight about which religion is right but to live in peace and believe in what you want because in the end God is the only judge.
  • The Bible teaches that God is the ultimate judge. There is one Jehovah God and one son Jesus Christ there is no hell of eternal torment. Or a heaven that we go to when we die. Think about it if God told Adam and Eve that they would positively die what makes you think he was joking? God's does not go back on his word.(Isaiah 55:11 states: "So my word that goes forth from my mouth will prove to be. It will not return to me without results, but it will certainly do that in which I have delighted, and it will have certain success in that for which I have sent it.") This applies to every commandment and principle stated in the bible. And what makes you think that someone who never acknowledged God on earth, never read his word the bible, never tried to treat others with respect and never tried to live life right would be accepted in the dwelling place of the most holy god? Thats like trying to go live with a stranger, Someone who you never took the time to know. We all die we fall into eternal sleep. We forget all things and we decompose. Hence, the scripture at Genesis 3:19 "for dust you are and to dust you will return". That's why Jesus was sent to Undo what Adam did to give us hope and to give us everlasting life. If we all went to heaven what was the purpose of Jesus Christ's ransom sacrifice and his resurrection? What was the point of Jesus resurrecting people from the dead when he was on earth? And if it was purposed for everyone to go to heaven why is it so painful to lose someone in death? If it was meant for all to go to heaven why isn't everyone on earth willing to die? The fact is DEATH IS AN ENEMY. God will forever do away with death. Revelation 21:4 states: "and he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and Death will be no more neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." Name one person who can do that for you. There isn't one now is there? Hmm... didn't think so. Jesus was giving a glimpse of just what god can do. He can raise the dead, heal the sick, forgive you for sins, provide a multitude of food and shelter and give you hope from this debauched and steadily declining world. If anyone loves you, Jehovah does more than you could possibly imagine. I mean who do you know would send their only child to die for you. Knowing you have made many mistakes, have a past your not proud of and have done some things that you regret. Would you send your son or daughter to die for your neighbor would you have him or her beaten or impaled for their expense? Truly think about it. Think about what you been told all your life and what you actually Know. God begs no one to Serve him. Either you will or you won't.
  • jesus words were at matthew 7:13,14: "go in through the narow gate because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it; whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and FEW are the ones finding it." this scripture makes it very obvious that there can only be one religion that God approves of. the apostle paul wrote that those belonging to the christian congregation should be and "should all speak in agreement, and that there should not be divisions among you, but that you may be fitly united in the same mind and in the same line of thought." it is very hard for members of other religions to have to accept that Jehovah's Witnesses have the truth. especially when so many oppose us. this in itself is proof itself that we do have the truth. paul said in 2timothy 3:12: "in fact, all those desiring to live with godly association with christ jesus will also be persecuted." we have been accused of being a sect, this website is an example as to the ignorance out there as to whom we really are. or there are those that intentionally and maliciously lie about our teachings. none of this is strange to us or takes us by surprise because Jesus warned that this would happen.(matthew 5:11 says: "happy are you when people reproach you and persecute you and lyingly say every sort of wicked thing against you for my sake." so that we are being criticized for our beliefs is nothing new to us. compare us to other religions that claim to be christian and you will find a remarkable contrast. it is not easy being on the road that God approves of, this is why many do not embark on this journey. what other religion is so maligned as ours? most likely the person that accepts the truth will lose many friendships. there are alot of pitfalls. and true just because a person may claim to have the true religion this doesn't necessarily mean God's approval if that person is not being faithful to the standards and requirements a true christian must meet. when the end comes the bible says that Jehovah will start with his people. some witnesses even though they had the truth will not be saved, much less those found outside of the organization.
  • I don't--in fact organized religion terrifys me with it's cult-like nature.
  • I don't believe that and never have. I like to believe that I am somewhat smarter than all that special selection crap... I don't think God looks at us as Steaks where some are prime cut and some are chuck.
  • perhaps another angle on this would be to take a specific question such as,"what happens to us when we die" and then see how many different answers there are. but logic would tell you that there can only be one correct answer. there can only be one truth. the bible claims to be the inspired word of God. jehovahs witnesses are careful not to give their personal opinions when asked such questions but always point to the bible to offer the answers. this consistancy is one thing that impressed me about them.
  • I don't! ;-)
  • I think that there is only one true God and he has outlined certain specific ways he desires us to worship Him. I just don't think any religion correctly understands God. They all have SOME TRUTH mixed with ERROR. And what makes it worse is that none of them see THEIR OWN errors when they look in the mirror.
  • It's not about finding one understanding of god or one religion. Religion is just seeking God and communing with him. With so many people and personality and cultures why do we think there is one support to be one religion?
  • Reason, wisdom, and experience. A universe in which Christianity and Buddhism were both true wouldn't be a universe at all, but a chaotic bedlam of utter nonsense. God either exists or he doesn't exist; he can't both exist and not exist. Assuming God exsts, he is either personal or impersonal; he cannot be both. Either there is an afterlife or there isn't. Assuming there is, there is either reincarnation or there isn't; there is either a resurrection or there isn't; there is either a hell or there isn't. Jesus is either God-incarnate or he is not. God is either passable or impassible, but he cannot be both. Baptism is either necessary to salvation or it isn't. etc., etc., etc. Perhaps no religion is absolutely right on all points, but only one religion can be. Two religions that agreed on all points wouldn't be two different religions but the same religion. Where two religions disagree, either both are wrong or one and only one is right and the other is wrong. This isn't religious fanaticism. It's just the facts of logic.
  • I think its funny when someone of one religion says all the other religions don't make sense or are wrong.
  • What makes you think that ANY religion is right?
  • A more appropriate question to those who believe that drivel.. What makes you think?
  • I used to think that all religions were the same things. The similarities between all religions were the correct parts, and any places they differed were incorrect. I was a very positive Catholic back then. However, I discovered that what made me think that was delusion. My vision of the world did not make any sense, so I dropped it. Instead, I now think that all religions are wrong.
  • Well, that's what the first Christians taught, after Israel lost the blessing of God. Were they wrong?
  • That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. true religino and true God theory.
  • Read Mathew 7:20 and John 13:35 and just take a look at the most crowded religions in the world... see if these two principles apply to them. Judge by yourself. Then go visit a JW's meeting and compare... you'll be amazed
  • I don't. I think there is none that is right, so far as I can see. More sensibly, some religions are incompatible with others. A religion that says there is, for certain, only one god cannot be compatible with one that says there are many. A religion that says that Prophet A told the full and final truth is incompatible with one that says that such truth came from Prophet B. People try and paint over the cracks (the many gods are just aspects of the one god, the prophets are saying the same thing if interpreted correctly). However, these all seem to come from the position that there must be a god somewhere out there, and the problem is finding where, not the view that the very existence of any god at all needs to be established before you enquire god's nature.
  • Either Christ did live and still does or he doesnt. If he is alive, then surly he wouldnt lead or support conflicting teachings. EG some churches support the teachings of the trinity others dont one of the beleifs is WRONG, so all religions with the incorrect belief are also wrong. Because a religion ahs some good points doesnt make it right. I know a few Jews and they seem to be good, are they right? If Christ lives then surely they are wrong. When Christ sent the apostles out to teach people did he give them all a different set of teachings? surely not. Dont add to or take away is a common verse but it doesnt stop anyone doing it. Also surely if God is all the things we are taught about him the JW's wouldnt be the right religion, I am no expert on them but was told only a limited number can be saved, I thought all that followed Christ would be. Good Question it has a lot of interest.
  • i don't think any religion is right
  • "We" are not special. However, if a religion's primary doctrines are based on false things, then it is based on false things. For example, the bible clearly says "There is for us only one God, the Father." Yet, most of "christianity" teaches that God's Son is equal to him (even though that son specifically says "The father is greater than I.") That doesn't mean all non-JW Christians are "doomed." ... but however false they are... they're that "false." And, we're still learning too. We're not perfect. But, if we find that a teaching is false, we get rid of it. Christian leaders often ADMIT that the trinity is not biblically supported... but it's still tradition, and that's more important. Or, look at catholicism with it's prayer to patron saints... such a teaching is contrary to the bible, and they know it... but, it's tradition, and they honestly consider that "more infallible than the bible." (Ask any catholic priest about "holy tradition.") ... if another group got rid of their false teachings, they wouldn't be false. If we adopted false teachings even though we knew them to be false... then, we would be false. It's pretty straight forward.
  • Matthew 7:13-14 "there is only one true religion" HOW TO KNOW THE TRUE RELIGION: *They follow their teachings in the scriptures(2Timothy3:16-17) *worship the only true GOD Jehovah(Matthew4:10) *they love each other(John 13:35) *they believe that God sent Jesus His son to save us(John3:16) *no part of this world(John 18:36) *they preach the good news(Matthew24:14) ~the question is, who have pass all the qualifications? PLS read Isaiah 43:10 see? the answer is just in the words of GOD Just Be Open Minded!
  • Actually, I think they are all wrong.
