All my goldfish died after a few days. I didn't know then that they were very sensitive to fluctuations in temperature.
-
Yep. A blue beta named "Mike Hunt" he lived for about 2 years. He was a cool pet..more interactive than I expected a fish to be...
-
Three Betta fish as pets. And a bunch of Koi fish in the Koi pond, but I wouldn't call those guys "pets".

Yes quite a few. They all had names and some would come when you called them. We had some pet goldfish and koi outside and they would come almost out of the water to see us:-)

I do, now. It started out a few weeks ago when I won a goldfish at the fair. I took him home and purchased a ten gallon tank, accessories, and a friend for him. The new goldfish, a red Oranda, was delicate and PetSmart failed to tell me either about cycling the tank or the compatibility between the two. Henry, the fair fish, started mercilessly going after Red. It was an awful predicament, but the court ruled in favor of Red and Henry was sadly set to sea. Red promptly died, leaving us in a real Shakespearean-style tragedy. Now I had a ten gallon aquarium and no fish. Naturally, I had to figure something else out. I did my research, learned about cycling the tank, and then I purchased two albino buenos aires tetra! Great, excellent, awesome! Except... the aggression began again... and I realized you needed to have a school of these tetra to keep them happy. Another pet store, more missing information. Back to the pet shop to purchase two more Buenos Aires tetra. Now I have four. So what happens when you have four fish? You are going to want a larger aquarium, naturally. I am going to be picking up a 30 gallon tank tonight and also acquire two mollies and a guppy. I am sure by the end of the weekend, I will have an entire school of guppies and zebra danios. See that? From fair fish to aquarium hobbyist freak just like that!!!!
