That depends. How well does she speak my language? Does she have an impedements that would lead to communication barriers? How well do I speak her language? If we could communicate easily enough without the risk of anything being lost in translation so to speak, I would not have a problem with this.
-
Love is a language in and of itself. The verbal communication can be worked out.
-
Yes.
-
Yes i would and i would suffer the "burro" coments as i was learning their language.
-
Yes as long as that person spoke my language well enough for us to communicate.
-
Sure why not;) I had a tough time understanding my X and she spoke english;)!!
-
No.
-
Yep...my parent's are living proof. Mom is from Brazil. She eventually learned to speak English.
-
Certainly, if I had fallen for him.
-
It's a done deal. Married 8 years, together 10.
-
Only if we could communicate almost fluently in one of the languages. After everyone I knew started making jokes about how I would end up dating a Korean exchange student I made my number one dating rule 'must be fluent in English', but if I spoke their primary language I think it would work.
-
She should try to learn my language too/-
-
yeah, it'd be exotic not to mention the intellectual upside, u cud learn each others languages and cultures or w.e. it'd be hot
-
Sure why not
-
Well, I'm from England and I married an American....so I did! LOL!
-
Yeah, if we could still communicate with eachother
-
yup... I speak russian and ENGLISH and my fiancee speaks spanish and ENGLISH..lol
-
If she looked like this.
-
i would appreciate..Even it would be better..Because i cannot deal with the guys whose mother language is the same as mine!!
-
Yes, even though English was the second language I learned, I have always considered it my primary language. Most of the Asian girls I date would consider their Asian language primary (Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese) and English second - but they all speak English. Otherwise, it would be hard to make a marriage work out because with any relationship, especially a life long one, communication is key.
-
I have done. I am English and my wife is Norwegian. She speaks perfect English (you would not know she was not English tbh!) and now, after 4 years of living in Norway, I can speak Norwegian.
-
Yes. My bf speaks English, while he says I speak American.
-
Sure. Why not? Here in America, that stuff doesn't make any difference except to neo-cons.
-
Yes, we are a happy French-American family :)
-
yes,i speak english, have been with swedish, turkish and american
-
Sure, if this was the only problem.
-
Of course yes, love is love
-
Yes, because we are all one. Language is what makes us all special..
-
As long as we both spoke the language of love.
-
I did.
-
In theory, I think it would be a great opportunity for cultural enrichment. But in practice, think of all the miscommunication that goes on even when both people do speak English.
-
Yes, and I plan on it. She's Russian, I'm american, and I'm currently trying to learn the Russian language.
