I assume you mean vocabulary, and if so, you can do so by making it a point to learn a new word every day and using it in conversation. Scan through the dictionary and find a new word, learn the pronunciation and meaning, then look for opportunities to use it in conversation. Also, invest in a Thesaurus. Use it to look up synonyms for the words you currently over-use.

First step is being conscious of things like spelling. Aside from that, I think the best way is to just read read read as much as possible. When you come across a word you're not familiar with, use the context of the sentence to try and figure it out, or look it up if necessary. Speaking of context, please make sure you post questions in the proper category in the future.

There's a series of books by The Princeton Guide which give you the most checked vocabulary words on the SAT in order of frequency used. They should prove helpful.

Hello sadorbekus. The first tip I can give you is to read anything and everything. Have a dictionary to hand at all times so that you can look up words that you are not familiar with. The better the quality of reading material, the wider the range of vocabulary you will be exposed to. However, if you are limited for time, try reading the daily news from a reputable news organisation website or newspaper such as Reuters or BBC or your regional broadsheet newspaper. If you have a specific area of interest, be it photography, popular science, gardening etc. Then I would also advise you to subscribe to a regular publication for your chosen area of interest and read it regularly. I also recommend you register for this free word of the day email from dictionary.com. You can try writing your own sentence each day to include the word of the day, which will help you to remember it. http://dictionary.reference.com/wordoftheday/ For a personal tip, have a dictionary/thesaurus to hand so that you can check your spellings/meanings of words before you publish them on-line or via e-mail or when utilising other methods of correspondence too. read a dictionary. I am not kidding. I actually do it when I'm really bored. I was in competitive speech, and when I did impromtu rounds, my vocabulary gave me a HUGE advantage. It might sound boring... but, do it anyway.
