Besides my husband , I have had many men and women hold the door for me. Chivalry is not dead.
-
yes mam some of us still do.
-
The Good Ones still do :o) Living all over, I have found it to be more true in the south and especially true near military bases. But there are still gentlemen everywhere. AND the great thing is that NOW, YOU can hold the door too!
-
Not nearly often enough. But we LOVE it when you do!
-
No, in the last 40 years, doors have become electronic and open automatically:) Just kidding. Wish you success with the new gig and sympathy for why you are back in the game
-
Some do I do. But women wanted equality,be careful what you wish for.
-
I hold doors for people regardless of age, gender, or race. I've even held an automatic door open for some people once. They were all very appreciative.
-
They sure do .. and women even open them for men. Nice hey.
-
Ec does and so do his sons yo...
-
I hold doors open for everyone, regardless of gender, age, or race. Of course, I'm female, so... But, I do know of several men who are very insistent on holding doors open. And, I know a few who are completely oblivious. It really depends on the person and their mind set; sometimes people who would hold a door open or help can't or won't because of something that's on their mind or being in a rush.

Still trying to push myself into the dating scene again:) But the last date I went on a year ago he was a gentlemen and he was constantly opening doors for me. Hi coolcat how are you:):)
-
Yes they do.
-
This one does ! It's just the way I was raised.
-
The rules of being a true gentleman have not changed since 1967, for the most part. Don't worry, romance is classic. SO yes, open the door ;)
-
I think some of the braver ones might try..I have known women who think it is insulting for a man to be polite and gallant and courtly and have said things like "I can open my own door!"..as if it were some kind of insult. As I said, only the braver ones would try..after getting your head served to you on a platter a few times I'd stop trying! :)
-
If I went on a date, I'd open doors and pull out chairs. But I'm not to sure if its the norm nowadays.
-
Many do not anymore, but if they want a second date with me they do. :)
-
always have ... always do ... always will
-
Sure they do. A nice guy does at least. I have a tendency to not give the guy a chance to open it for me, but it's still nice. I like it.
-
I always open doors to buildings and such, car doors I did when I first started dating, but not so much anymore. My s/o liked it, but just always said "you dont have to do that" and then I stopped lol
-
My husband opens doors for me all the time.
-
yes. it helps if you let them also.
-
I've seen men do this all across the country. But then again, I usually am around more rural or less crowded areas. Maybe in the busy bustling cities they don't do it as much, but there are still men, AND women who always choose to be gracious and kind.
-
my guy doesn't (he's from Jersey, I dont think they teach manners there) but all the other guys I have dated did so YES
-
That went out when feminism came in. Feminists demand equality. They say that opening doors is sexist and demeaning.
-
They still do here in the south! I love it, and appreciate it everytime it's done for me.
-
I will for my wife if I get to a door before she does, but that rarely happens. ;) Have you been married since 1967?
-
yes. some guys do
