I would call them Insecure, Egotistical, AND Ignorant... While I don't know this individual personally, I find myself pondering the possibility that they may just be a 'malcontent' with a sour disposition... :-)

My wife accuses me of being like that sometimes. I hope I'm not. My take on it is that sometimes when I disagree with her I can get fairly aggressive in the debate but I don't insult her or her ideas but I do get pretty assertive in trying to refute her position. She usually responds by saying something like, "Oh, so you're alway right and I'm always wrong?!" I usually reply by saying, "I'm not saying that. I'm only disagreeing with you on this point. There have been plenty of times when you were right and I was wrong." I think she's challenged me to provide examples of that in the past so I'm keeping a list with the details of those numerous times when she was right.

Confused... yeah, that would be another one... confused... You didn't ask for or in any way indicate you were looking for a rebuttal, right? That's what I thought... so, their rebuttal and resistance to something that you were sharing with THEM or informing THEM about would indicate they're confused about just what the situation is, and what the direction of the information that was flowing was... ;-) (...and did I mention irritating...? :-p )
