  • Here some examples: Jude - Named after the song "Hey Jude". A working class guy who works at the shipyards. Lives in a single parent home with his mom and has a dad who was in the military and whom Jude never got to know. Shown to have a bit of a rude personality on occasions. Very much a John Lennon character. He looks like a combination of Paul McCartney and George Harrison. But he's also a painter who fell in love with a blonde girl. Stuart Sutcliffe or a coincidence? Lucy - "Lucy in the sky with diamonds". Very Linda McCartney with her long blonde hair, came from a wealthy family and fell in love with a guy who looks similar to Paul McCartney. Max - "Maxwell's silver hammer". Uh well his personality is that of the song. Kind of. "Back in school again, Maxwell plays the fool again. Teacher gets annoyed." Every movie that takes place during this time period always has a rebellious character and so here we have. Prudence - "Dear Prudence". Sadie - "Sexy Sadie" Jojo - "Get Back" Desmond - "Ob la de, Ob la da" Molly(Jude's girlfriend in England) - Ob la de ob la da Pam - "Polythene Pam" Phil - Maybe Phil Spector? LOL Uncle Teddy - "Teddy boy" Martha - "Martha my dear" The band playing in the beginning is like The Beatles playing at the Cavern. Jude is from Liverpool, Beatles were from Liverpool. Rita (the contortionist) - "Lovely Rita" Doctor Robert - "Doctor Robert" Bill (Sadies producer) - "The Continuing Story Of Bungalow Bill Desmond is wearing Lennon glasses in a part of the movie when Prudence came through the window Jude said "Hello Hello," most likely refering to the song "Hello goodbye." the concert on the roof was a lot like the last performance the Beatles gave on the rooftop of the Apple Studios the number 9 on the door in reference to Revolution #9 (there's a voice that repeats "number 9, number 9," etc.) The blue people in Mr. Kite's circus smack of the blue meanies in Yellow Submarine
  • When Prudence comes through the window....Jude says...."She came in through the bathroom window." which is a beatles lyric. "your either on the bus or off the bus" a quote from the 60s.
