It is the old treat them mean thing. Girls do it too! But it may also mean she is shy, and frightened that you won;t feel the same. It's nice to feel like someone will look at you, not because you are looking at them and it's freaking them out a bit, but because they like you!

Well exactly similar situation has happened to me once, well if you are popular in the class then girl use this strategy to show other fellows that she can distract a hot guy like you or whatever they want, now its time to prove them wrong.... I know truth sounds bitter but this is the truth.....
