Lust sits in there somewhere, as does whatever feeling leads to "friends with benefits" relationships.

Infatuation.

Lust maybe?
-
Infatuation: I seem to go through that phase before I just am not interested anymore or until I find I really have love for the person. Doesn't mean that love will be strong or will last though.

I've been trying to figure this one out lately. I don't think there's a word, at least in English to describe that period between "more-than-liking" and "not-quite-loving" someone. I wouldn't call it infatuation though - to me infatuation is a more shallow emotion than even liking.

Onamonapea!lol;~} When my hubby and I first started dating we decided we didn't want to go too fast and bring up the "L" word, so after awhile we really liked each other and even loved, but didn't want to freak each other out by saying it so we came up with a code word for it, we decided that we would find a silly word and use it as our "word". Onamonapea came to mind, and yes it's spelled wrong but that was half the fun! 4 years later we still sign our cards with it and say it in public and no one has any idea what the heck we are talking about!lol;~}
