  • Communication is a art and very difficult say who has good communication.... However - there are a few key things: Questioning, Listening, Understanding & Responding. My guess is that Q and R are probably the things that, under pressure, you struggle with. Yet Questions can be prepared! So think of questions that are likely to apply to the people you are likely to meet in your new situation and just ask! Body language is also very important - the most important part being eye contact. Ask your questions whilst maintaining good (but not exaggerated!) eye contact. You will display confidence (even if you don't feel it!) and if you listen & understand (I know you can do that well!) then your response will build naturally. Observe yourself in interactions with your close friends and you will see that this is all true, which will give you the confidence to apply it in less familiar situations. Good luck! Let me know how you get on with it.
  • The best answer I have for this is to realize that other people are not as critical of you, as you likely are of yourself. Most people are too busy worrying about how they come across to others to think about what the other person is doing. It helps me to remind myself about how I view others. I like most anyone who is open and friendly. A quick smile and a simple greeting can go a long way. I used to be very shy, but overcame it by following my own realization. Good luck!
  • Be happy in who you are and your appearance. If you are healthy, drink lots of water and do excersise this makes you LOOK, FEEL and ACT confident, happy and fun. Don't critise yourself or ponder over your weak points such as being nervous; think about your good points about you.... If need so write a list and read it to yourself every so often when you are feeling low. When meeting new people, smile and look them in the eye and make small talk such as: 'hello, whats your name?' 'how old are you?' 'where do you live?' ' do you have any pets?' 'do you like sport?' 'whats your favourite hobbie?' ETC.............. hope this helped!!xx :).. please comment!!
  • Stop caring about what other people think and be yourself.
