  • i have worked at Burger King and have done telemarketing and between the two Burger King was the worst thing i have ever done
  • Telemarketing would be the pits. Would you like frys with that?
  • Telemarketing is the worst!! Probably the worst job I ever had.
  • I worked at a fast food pizza place, and at an alumni donations center on my campus (calling alumni for money, telemarketing) I actually enjoyed the telemarketing job, because you just kind of hang out, and talk to people. I hated food service! Messy, on your feet all the time. the managers sucked, etc...
  • I would have to say McDonald's because at least you are not seen by anybody over the phone.
  • Telemarketing, unless you don't care about rejection and being hung up on.
  • Working at McDonald's is a viable, worthwhile, socially necessary and actually 'noble' employment, imho.
  • I've never worked at a fast food place, and i never want to. I've done telemarketing type work and i hate it. It depresses me.
  • I'd rather work at McDonald's than do telemarketing. At least working at McD's the customer actually wants the product ;)
  • Doing telemarketing for McDonald's!
  • Working at McDonalds, because there people can see you. Telemarketing- no one sees you and you can use accents:)
  • Neither if that is the only job you can get and you have bills to pay. In addition, if nobody worked at McDonalds, they would be out of business.
  • McDonald's...at least if you're telemarketing the worse thing they can do is be profane or hang up on you...in McDonalds they can get physical. I saw some psycho woman throw fries at this poor girl! :(
  • Both. Mcdonalds because you deal with idiotic custmors who just stare at you, yell their order and tell you the prices like "the dollor one" or the one thats 1.29 if you are in the back cooking then its not to bad. drive through is worse though..... tellimarking because you have to call like a million people all day lonmg
  • I've done both in the past. Man...which is worse??? This may take a while to decide LOL. It's a pretty close call but I think I would say telemarketing. People on the phone are more brave to be rude than in person. And when it's really busy at a fast food place, the time flies by. When you're telemarketing, 15 minutes feels like a damn hour; sitting in that chair, dialing number after number, saying the same thing over and over and hearing the same thing over and over. Of course fast food work certainly has its negatives belieeeeve me I could write a book lol...most of it being about stupidity and lack of basic human respect.
  • Telemarketing. When you're at McDonald's, you serve people who actually want the things that you're selling. They even go out of their way to come to you. I can't say the same thing for telemarketers.
  • McDonalds: People come to you who WANT to buy something, you are guaranteed a pay check. Telemarketing: You disturb people just as they return home with their Big Macs, you don't get paid if you don't sell, and you risk hearing loss from the high decibels of slamming phones and foul language. Analysis: McDonalds is the better choice.
  • i would rather work at mcdonalds. i couldnt handle people hanging up on me!
  • McDonald's
  • I've done telemarketing and it was pretty horrible, but not as bad as I imagine working at McDonald's would be. I did train to do customer service for McDonald's though, but I changed my mind shortly before the training period was over.
  • telemarketing is worse by far. people need to eat, but people do not need to be sold products from people hundreds or thousands of miles away.
  • TELEMARKETING - WITHOUT A DOUBT MAYBE IT USED TO BE A GOOD JOB BUT NOW I WOULD STRUGGLE TO FIND A PERSON THAT DOES NOT REALLY HATE TO BE CALLED BY THESE ANNOYING PEOPLE MCDONALDS AS AN EMPLOYER IS NOT VERY HIGH PAY BUT THEY DO HAVE A FAIRLY GOOD RECORD WITH TREATING THEIR EMPLOYEES FAIRLY (WHEN COMPARING WITH OTHER SIMILAR COMPANIES) TELEMARKETERS IS NOT THE FUTURE AND NEVER WILL BE
  • done them both and I will never do telemarketing again.. simply because 1. I do not like being called at home and bugged to buy stuff and I will NOT do it to anyone 2. I don't feel like it's a honest job Soon the telemarketing business will be out of business due to the donotcall.org.. they are really cracking down on it. they are fining these companies who call people on that list so pretty soon, that business will no longer exist. mcD is hard work but it's honest and I know I won't call someone during meal time or while they are asleep or sick and bother them.
  • depends what you market, if it's destructive to a human body as burgers and chips then I would suggest a career change. If you are feeling satisfied that youve helped mankind, not poisened him youll feel good with yourself, no matter if you earn less.
