• Check around to see what others in your field are making, with a similar amount of experience and training as you have. That will give you a little ammunition when you go up for review for your raise. Also, the raise shouldn't be the only deciding factor in whether you stay or move on -- also consider the hours, the work environment, the potential for advancement, the proximity to your home, that sort of thing before you move on to another job.
