  • Be sure to contact the airline before you leave the house. It seems they are changing the rules from day to day. I just saw a news report about people being charged $50 for their bags before they were allowed to get on the plane because of new rule that went into effect that same day!
  • Your airline decides what your carryon bag limits are so be sure to closely inspect their requirements for size and weight. In America, TSA decides what requirements there are for what is contained within the carry-on bags and while it has been stable in there requirements as of late, it can change instantly.
