  • http://www.faqs.org/faqs/pets/guinea-pig-faq/section-4.html Makes for an interesting read - has a list of High Vit C veg for the critter. Veg and greens that they can eat: From out of your lawn they will eat dandelion leaves, clover and even grass - Care must be taken that neither pesticides, herbicides or liquid fertilizers (chemicals, compost tea ok) is used on the lawn that you are serving up. They also like carrots, peas, green peppers, romaine *lettuce, spinach, kale, corn, celery, beet tops and parsley. . * There are a wide variety of lettuces available, try different ones and find out what she will eat. Fruits: Apples, pears, cucumbers, oranges, watermelon, grapes, lemon and tomato. If you want to add variety to the diet then take out the lettuce and celery and offer up more of the other stuff until you find a combination of fruit and veg she likes. Once you get a better range you can make a 'salad' a mixed green feed of sorts - chopped up fruit and veg mixed together served one handful at a time. Let it sit there in the cage in its corner until 'limp' 4-6 hours. She will eat when she is hungry. Mind animals have small stomachs and grazers like the guinea pig are designed to eat a little bit all the time.
