  • This isnt really science- its religion- but here goes: Lucifer was an seraphim- he protected Gods throne, thus he protected Gods authority. Lucifer was the very most beautiful of all the angles, the smartest- all that but he was (is) proud. He got the idea to put his own throne far above Gods, and 1/3 of all the angels were behind him. There was a battle and Micheal. an arch angel, threw Lucifer out of heaven. He fell to earth.Lucifer and Satan are one in the same. He is the leader of the rebellious angels (also called Powers and authorities) and his goal is to take as many humans to hell with him as he can.He is also the Prince of demons.
  • To postulate that two are the same (Satan & Lucifer) does not seem logical in description, not to mention angels and demons are not the same. Lucifer seems to fit in with the extra-terrestrial's who call themselves Ashtar Command. They openly admit to being angels of light from the star system Pleiades, from the City of Urantia. Satan is a horn winged Reptilian from the star system Alpha Draconis, of which the under ground Dulce base has described him on a plaque. His home planet was Nibiru. He presently dwells in middle in earth in an advanced subterranean City called Agharta. They (Satan & Lucifer) are both inter dimensional creatures and oppose one another (allegedly).
  • Some of the fallen angels who fell with Lucifer after the battle inhabited the earth, and interbred with humans creating The offspring called the nephilim , after the great fllod some of these angels together with their offsprings became demons.
  • Satan and Lucifer are one and the same. Some people argue that he has a few names that relate directly to him but there are others that claim they are actually seperate entities. Mostly I believe that Lucifer retained his own name and his own identity after he got the boot. I also believe that all the others (with different names) were "The fallen." That decided to go against mankind and rebel not so much against God Himself, but humanity for taking their birthright and their place next to God. They will always be subject unto God His laws and His creations... and even they know this. The rebellion was primarily against man, the anger was directed at God. They do know who is who and what is what. They gain access to and manipulate by lies and deciet. The little things whispered into the heart and ear of a man that are the embodiments of sin which is anything that debases or causes destruction to the fabirc between the corruptable and the incorruptable. (The body and the Spirit.) That is their aim, their main objective and their cause against us. There is a story in the Bible that relates directly to the fall of the Devil metaphorically speaking, the explination came in the story of the "Prince of Tyre." where Lucifer said in rebellion, after God created man and placed him above the angels, ...how Lucifer was "Gods favorite." "The Angel of Light and Music." And that is why it still says that "He appears as an angel of light." He did not lose anything of his former, name, beauty or ability, what he lost was his place with his father, God due to a hatred for His creation in the form of man.
  • Lucifer is a borrowed name, and has really NOTHING to do with Judaic theology, or Satan. http://www.theosophy-nw.org/theosnw/world/christ/xt-ibel2.htm
  • This isn't a direct answer, but something for you to google. As far as the origin of Lucifer's name... There is a norse(I think) god Loki (whose name has similar origins) who "gave" fire and other knowledge to humans back in the day... there are similar stories regarding Lucifer and/or Samael. From what I understand, Samael is mentioned in Hebrew texts & possibly the dead sea scrolls, but don't quote me on that. There is a lot of info out there on both names, although more on Lucifer, with theories stating they are the same & different entities. I believe the term "satan" is related to a term meaning God's enemy or the like and that's probably how that came to be about.... just some food for thought.
  • Yes. Father of lies. Prince of the power of the air.
  • isnt is odd that everyone has a name except God.
  • Lucifer was an angel in heaven. When God created Man he told all of the angels to bow before Him. Lucifer refused and was cast out of heaven. His name became Satan. Satan is the prince of darkness. He is the ruling figure of hell and its inhabitants.
  • "Lucifer" appears only ONCE in the Bible, and only in some versions. Isaiah 14:12: “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!” - KJV The Hebrew word translated “Lucifer” means “shining one.” If you read the whole chapter, you'll see that this is a portion of a proverbial saying that was to be 'raised up' against 'the king of babylon'. That the term "Lucifer" or "shining one" is referring to a man can be seen from verses 16-18 Isaiah 14:16-18 Those seeing you will gaze even at you; they will give close examination even to you, [saying,] ‘Is this the MAN that was agitating the earth, that was making kingdoms rock, 17 that made the productive land like the wilderness and that overthrew its very cities, that did not open the way homeward even for his prisoners?’ 18 ALL THE OTHER KINGS OF THE NATIONS, yes, all of them, have lain down in glory, each one in his own house. That "Lucifer" is another name for Satan the Devil is one of those widely accepted things that is just not correct.
  • Satan, schmatan!
  • The first problem is that Lucifer is a Latin name. So how did it find its way into a Hebrew manuscript, written before there was a Roman language? To find the answer, a consulted scholar at the library of the Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati was asked "What Hebrew name was Satan given in this chapter of Isaiah, which describes the angel who fell to become the ruler of hell? The answer was a surprise. In the original Hebrew text, the fourteenth chapter of Isaiah is not about a fallen angel, but about a fallen Babylonian king, who during his lifetime had persecuted the children of Israel. It contains no mention of Satan, either by name or reference. The Hebrew scholar could only speculate that some early Christian scribes, writing in the Latin tongue used by the Church, had decided for themselves that they wanted the story to be about a fallen angel, a creature not even mentioned in the original Hebrew text, and to whom they gave the name "Lucifer." Why Lucifer? In Roman astronomy, Lucifer was the name given to the morning star (the star we now know by another Roman name, Venus). The morning star appears in the heavens just before dawn, heralding the rising sun. The name derives from the Latin term lucem ferre, bringer, or bearer, of light." In the Hebrew text the expression used to describe the Babylonian king before his death is Helal, son of Shahar, which can best be translated as "Day star, son of the Dawn." The name evokes the golden glitter of a proud king's dress and court (much as his personal splendor earned for King Louis XIV of France the appellation, "The Sun King"). The scholars authorized by ... King James I to translate the Bible into current English did NOT use the original Hebrew texts, but used versions translated ... largely by St. Jerome in the fourth century. Jerome had 'mistranslated' the Hebraic metaphor, "Day star, son of the Dawn," as "Lucifer," and over the centuries a metamorphosis took place. Lucifer the morning star became a disobedient angel, cast out of heaven to rule eternally in hell. Theologians, writers, and poets interwove the myth with the doctrine of the Fall, and in Christian tradition Lucifer is now the same as Satan, the Devil, and --- ironically --- the Prince of Darkness. So "Lucifer" is nothing more than an ancient Latin name for the morning star, the bringer of light. Again I really like the name.
  • Then Satan-Lucifer must be living (didn't he comes originally from Orion?) in the hollow-earth as the Prince of Demons and know as follows the 'End of Kali-Yuga'-hypotheses/followers, he is waiting for Kalki (Maitreya) to be defeated as being 'the source of evil'.
  • Why can't Satan be identical towards Shiva?
  • • Is Lucifer a name that the Bible uses for Satan? The name Lucifer occurs once in the Scriptures and only in some versions of the Bible. For example, the King James Version renders Isaiah 14:12: “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!” The Hebrew word translated “Lucifer” means “shining one.” The Septuagint uses the Greek word that means “bringer of dawn.” Hence, some translations render the original Hebrew “morning star” or “Daystar.” But Jerome’s Latin Vulgate uses “Lucifer” (light bearer), and this accounts for the appearance of that term in various versions of the Bible. Who is this Lucifer? The expression “shining one,” or “Lucifer,” is found in what Isaiah prophetically commanded the Israelites to pronounce as a “proverbial saying against the king of Babylon.” Thus, it is part of a saying primarily directed at the Babylonian dynasty. That the description “shining one” is given to a man and not to a spirit creature is further seen by the statement: “Down to Sheol you will be brought.” Sheol is the common grave of mankind—not a place occupied by Satan the Devil. Moreover, those seeing Lucifer brought into this condition ask: “Is this the man that was agitating the earth?” Clearly, “Lucifer” refers to a human, not to a spirit creature.—Isaiah 14:4, 15, 16. Why is such an eminent description given to the Babylonian dynasty? We must realize that the king of Babylon was to be called the shining one only after his fall and in a taunting way. (Isaiah 14:3) Selfish pride prompted Babylon’s kings to elevate themselves above those around them. So great was the arrogance of the dynasty that it is portrayed as bragging: “To the heavens I shall go up. Above the stars of God I shall lift up my throne, and I shall sit down upon the mountain of meeting, in the remotest parts of the north. . . . I shall make myself resemble the Most High.”—Isaiah 14:13, 14. “The stars of God” are the kings of the royal line of David. (Numbers 24:17) From David onward, these “stars” ruled from Mount Zion. After Solomon built the temple in Jerusalem, the name Zion came to apply to the whole city. Under the Law covenant, all male Israelites were obliged to travel to Zion three times a year. Thus, it became “the mountain of meeting.” By determining to subjugate the Judean kings and then remove them from that mountain, Nebuchadnezzar is declaring his intention to put himself above those “stars.” Instead of giving Jehovah credit for the victory over them, he arrogantly puts himself in Jehovah’s place. So it is after being cut down to the earth that the Babylonian dynasty is mockingly referred to as the “shining one.” The pride of the Babylonian rulers indeed reflected the attitude of “the god of this system of things”—Satan the Devil. (2 Corinthians 4:4) He too lusts for power and longs to place himself above Jehovah God. But Lucifer is not a name Scripturally given to Satan.

  • depends on how you view the whole mythology. "Satan" is a combination of so many myths that you could receive many answers and more than one could be correct. According to most christian mythology, Satan's name is/was Lucifer and he was an angel. Most Christian and Jewish sects have no official demon ranking although many have apocrypha that refers to such things. When you see hierarchal references to demons they are typically borrowed from other religions and somehow wormed their way into christianity. The jewish version of Satan and the modern "devil" are very very different.
  • Lucifer isn't really a fallen angel. He's an extraterrestrial God who belonged to the group known as the Elohim. Human beings were created by this group of beings and Lucifer was the main God involved in our creation. He began to teach us knowledge that went against the intended plans of the Elohim, knowledge to advance the powers of the mind and soul to achieve Godhead like them. He was excommunicated from the Elohim after refusing to stop teaching us forbidden knowledge and broke off from the group along with those who agreed with his plans who are his helpers, known today as the Original Gods, aka Demons. Lucifer was nicknamed Satan which means, the enemy, in Hebrew as an attempt by our enemies to prevent us from obtaining knowledge from our friends. Man kind's original religions which were in truth, rich in spirituality, were destroyed and replaced with the three main religions of today, Christianity, Islam, and Judaism. Our true Creator, Lucifer and the Original Gods who desire for us to evolve into Godhead were replaced with fictional characters like, Allah, Jesus, and Yahweh to prevent us from evolving spiritually. Fear is our enemy's greatest tool in preventing us from evolving and keeping us controlled like sheep. Lucifer does not fear us having knowledge but it is clear that the true enemies of mankind do not want us to evolve.
