Does anyone know a safe way to get rid of spiders that can be used around children, and pets?

If you are talking about in the house,then the best way is to keep your house clean. Vacuum and dust everywhere everyday.

I trained my dog to eat bugs, and it works great. I just say, "Elvis, bug! Get the bug." Off he goes, he loves to "hop", gives a little jump just before he bites it.

Most house spiders like to live in the corners of the ceilings, so just keep that part of the house clean.

You can put down glueboards where they come in and behind furniture in corners. Pesticides don't work because they are up on eight legs, and they don't clean themselves the way cockroaches and other bugs do. Some people swear by the electric sonar things you plug into outlets, but I have never had any use for them.

get a cat ,that usually takes care of the bigger ones that are on the floor!!!! uuuuhhh gives me the creeps x

Birds, toads, and lizards are natural predators of the spider and fairly safe around children.
