I think probably sculpture, I like how tactile it is

If an author counts, and personally I feel writing is an art, then I'd be an author. Otherwise I'd be a musician playing bar-style piano
-
Sculpturing would be kind of cool. Even better would be canvas painting.
-
I wish I were a better ukulele player. Do all right, just wish I can really light up the frets, that's all.
-
Well, I've always wished I could play piano, but I probably couldn't stand the performance anxiety. I think quality writing is an art, so I'd say something to do with writing, like a best selling novelist. With all our forms of media, I think it would endure. Yep, that's how I'd leave my very own legacy. Know anyone who'll publish my romance novel?

I took photography in high school and fail in love with the way a camera can catch an image, but never got the chance to improve and take it to and art level. Would to be able to capture what I see around me so that other may share that beauty
-
I do love painting but what I really get thrilled about is working with textiles. I love quilting and making art quilts, not traditional ones. I love adding embellishments and making quilted clothing and sculptures in cloth and yarns, even weaving. I love the colors and the feel of the textiles in my hands.

Music
-
carving from a pure marble stone. To be able to carve the muscle of a man as if it were in motion would be neat.
-
Barking.
-
Oil painting on canvas. I do paint, but sure wish I could do it better. There's just something about taking a totally flat surface and making it look like water, mountains or something like that. catching all the shadows just right so that you think you are looking off into the distance. I like painting old barns best.
-
I'd make video games. Yes, video games are art too.

I am a ceramic sculptor, but not exceptionally gifted. I would like to be more cutting edge. I think it's a matter of reaching within the deepest part of one's self and being unafraid of being judged.

Voice. I would love to have a beautiful voice. I could sing the songs that M.C.S. writes ;)

To be a terrific piano player....like the next Richard Clayderman
-
I am one :) I paint, throw pottery on the wheel, sculpt clay and do alittle woodcarving.
-
Writing, of course! Though I wouldn't mind having a talent for music. Sometimes I have dreams at night of hearing a song vividly that I've never heard before, that if it were a real song might be a to 40 hit. But by morning, I've forgotten the lyrics, and the music is but a vague memory, even if I knew how to write music notation.

Writing or painting

I was going to say a Bullshit Artist because they make the most money, but I don't think that's a very nice answer, now is it? So, I started to think about this more. And then more. And then I had my own question: Is there anything more beautiful as a form of expression, or anything that makes one feel more alive, than.... artistry? I wanted to choose a form that best described me. Then I felt like maybe the art chooses you. Then I felt like how are we describing art, as I feel that anything that anybody is gifted in can be considered a form of art. I say that everybody needs a method of expression, and regardless of talent, it is what drives and inspires you that makes it yours. Like that old cliche about painting your own canvas. As I think more about it, it makes sense that I paint but yet am no painter; sing but could barely carry a tune; hope to write something, someday, at some point, that actually hits the mark. Ok. My philosophy deserves Down rating as it does not answer your question. I'd be a professional collage maker. Visually of posters. Collecting meaningful info and putting it together. Making Cd mixes. I don't know what the word is.

I'd play the gee-tar on the MTV....:-D... . . .
-
Great question..since I have no creative ability I'd love to be gifted in anything at all..but what moves me most is beautiful music..beautiful lyrics.. I can call them up anytime in my head and enjoy..something meaningful, haunting, truthful..I would like to be a songwriter, who could sing her own songs on occasion and not make people cringe! Happy Monday! :) ((hugs))

I would choose welding and metalworking. I used to be an artist and metal was my medium...I gave it up in favor of a medical career.
-
I think that I would like to be a master at expressing myself through engineering. I realise that msot people won't count this as art, but for me, really good quality engineering is a form of art. The best designs and developments fluidly copy nature and blend with the environment in a way that really shows the best of what humanity can do when it works in harmony with the world and the things in it. I've always admired the work of Leonardo Da Vinci, perhaps it's this admiration showing through. Some of his inventions were truly amazing.

It depends upon how broad a definition of "artist" you wish to entertain. Writing is certainly one thing. I love the ability to create characters, paint in the details, and tell an interesting story with twists. (I do some fiction writing on the side, but nothing that has been published). Playing a harpsichord would be the second choice. I love the Bach harpsichord concertos. It is perhaps not a particularly practical instrument and it is not portable. But I find its music very enjoyable and relaxing.

Jodie44 I know that I would be a singer. There's no doubt in my mind.
