Yes, I used them to give liquid medicine to my kids when they were little..and to my dogs and cats (no needles of course..just the syringe) I also use them to inject flavorings into meat before cooking.

All the time. We do bacteria testing and use syringes to inoculate a series of culture bottles. We use a 3 cc syringe and a 20 gauge needle. Not many druggies would pick that combo.
-
they used to be good for spraying bleach on jeans to get a good faded look..but that was like 15 years ago when that look was in. Or take out the needle and use it to nurse small animals or fill it with paint and make some spray art or add a piece of rubber tubing to the end and tape the tubing to the top of your head hidden underneath your hair, fill the syringe with Caro syrup and a little red and green food coloring and when you squeeze the syringe it will appear as if you have blood puring out of your head!

Often. It has nothing to do with medicine in any way. I use syringes to apply glue to precise areas when doing guitar repairs in my shop. The control is unlike anything that can be achieved with any glue bottle tip.
-
I'm diabetic. I used the pens, but have had infections that needed IV antibiotics... Syringes, but no needles, were used to clean out the PICC line with saline and add the Heparin to keep the clotting around the line down.

I've used them for giving medicatrions ( Injections) to cattle & horses and for giving myself B-12 injections. I've also used syringes for applying glue to projects and for applying oil/lubricants to firearms and machiney parts.
