  • You may be thinking of "The Birds and the Bees" by Patrick & Eugene. Here's their video of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzCpBoxF2gc
  • 1963 or 1964 there was a UK guy that made it to the top 10 Billboard with "The Birds and The Bees" Before that, in the 1950s, there was the Temptations. Before that- 500,000 seller by Dean Martin.

  • Was it Bobby Goldsboro with the song "Hello Summertime" - it was the Coca Cola song in 1974 or thereabouts (not sure if it was Bobby Goldsboro but it sounded like him)
  • "Big Rock Candy Mountain," which has been covered by various artists (Roger Miller, Tex Ritter, etc.)
  • Sounds like "The Birds and the Bees" by Jewel Akens and covered by a lot of people.
  • That song might be the world's most covered song...(?) In about 1964 I was singing the version popular at the time and my parents heard me. They thought it was pretty funny that the song was seen as a "new" song. Sam Cooke sang it in the early 60s, Dean Martin sang it before that, and who knows who sang it before Dean?
