  • I was a teen and then became an adult during the '80s. And, I had '80s big hair. :-D Yes, I did switch from the aerosol hairsprays to pump-action ones because I was concerned. I had it "bigger" at some time, but here's my 1984 hair:
  • I became an adult in the 1980's. However, since I never used hairspray, this was not an issue for me. It has become even less of an issue as I have studied and come to the conclusion that it was all a bunch of hype based on very little good science.
  • G'day Youhavenoidea, Thank you for your question. Yes I became an adult in 1980. However, as I don't use hairspray, it wasn't a problem. I did change habits regarding deoderant though. Regards
  • i graduated in 1982 i hadone of those short cuts that were long in the front so at times it got big
  • I was a teen in the 80's and didn't use much hairspray, because I really dislike the smell of it, and am allergic to almost anything like that. I've also been quite the tomboy, I guess.
  • Oh my, no! I used half a bottle of Aqua Net every 2 days. It is hard to get that rockin' hair to stand up like that with non-aerosol hairspray. I did try it though, it just didn't work as well.
  • I was a "Lief Garret feathered hair" teen in the early 80's, but, being a fella, I didn't use Hair spray. On my hair, that is. I have personally burned a 12' hole in the ozone with the AquaNet hair spray used to fuel my 1 1/2" bore, dual chambered potato cannon that I constructed out of pvc pipe. Boy howdy, would Aquanet sail a chunk of spud! Easily 200 yards... It worked better than ether, starting fluid, or lysol..
  • The ozone was a non-issue to me.
  • I was a teen, and what teen was interested in the ozone layer in the 80's. I used mousee or hair gel, so I guess I was environmentally friendly. Who knew.
  • i was pretty young but did own a bottle of aqua net ^_^
  • I wasn't even born in the 1980's.
  • I turned 18 in 1980. I didn't start thinking about the ozone layer until a friend mentioned it a couple of years later.
  • I was 23 in 1980. Hardly ever used hair spray but yes left off aerosols.
  • I Wasn't alive in the 1980's,but my parents were. They were little kids.
  • I was a child in the 1980s, I first reached my teens in November 1990. I do remember young adults talking about aerosols and the ozone layer in the 1980s.
  • 12-21-20-16 I was middle aged in the 80s. What does that have to do with the ozone layer?

We have a hole in the Bozone layer, so it no longer protects the world from universal stupidity.
  • I was born in the 1980s.
  • I was an adult in the 1980s. The ozone scare was a put up by the tree huggers. All the hairspray cans ever used never put out even a tenth as many fluorocarbons as the volcano, Mt. Pinatubo does in a month.
