  • We have neither..we are in a single-family residence..we do have a backyard and a front yard..in the back we have a beautiful lemon tree..Jim planted some tomatoes several weeks ago and is planning on planting some strawberries soon. In the front we have gladioli, iris, lillies (sp?) and roses, as well as a dwarf palm tree and some small yellow flowers, the name of which I don't know! :)
  • We decorate our front porch with an antique wicker table and chairs, several plants, and a recycled plastic rug from the Asian grocery. We spend a lot of our time there in the summer months. :)
  • We have a nice wicker set on our front porch and we also have a deck that spans the entire back of the house. The house is on 5 wooded acres, so the only decoration we need is the view :) We can see the mountains on one side and are situated such that we get double rainbows all the time when it rains at a certain time of day in the summer (between 3-4 PM).
  • We have decks around two sides of the house and one balcony. In the wintertime there is not much there but firewood and the BBQ/firepit with snow all over it LOL! And since we're still doing some construction, part of the porch is used as a work station with chopsaw and table saw:-) In better weather it has dozens of large pots of flowers and plants and herbs. We've got tables and chairs, very woodsy, cabin style. Windchimes and birdfeeders hang from the overhangs. I try to have different sitting areas but the chairs get moved according to the view. It all overlooks a pond and the woods.
  • We fill some pots with geraniums. Those, along with our patio furniture, make the patio look nice.
  • My house is part of a terrace, and we don't have balconies on our houses around here.
  • We can decorate it with flowers. Best flowers for apartment balcony are those which are easy & flexible to grow and looks beautiful. So, we can grow them into the boxes as well.
