You usually hear murderers get life in prison w/o parole or sometimes even the death penalty. So why is Charles Manson even ALLOWED to seek parole in 2012? How did he get such an easy sentence?

there was this gap where they cut out the death penalty in california. he was right in that window when everything happened. had there not been that gap he would've gotten the death penalty hands down.

EASY??? Can you imagine having to go to a parole hearing every few years KNOWING that there's no way they will ever let you back on the street? He's in until he leaves with the Coroner.

If you check that case out you will find Manson didn't kill anyone. It was proven that he gave the orders but wasn't there when it happened.

Manson was one of the people who was in prison at the time that the death penalty was overturned in CA to life sentences. After the death penalty was re-insated they could not go back and change those life sentences to death again, so the guy got by on legality. The bastard should hang though.
