  • Answerbag. I'm no longer addicted to it. My life no longer revolves around it. It's positive though, isn't it?
  • Saturday morning television. With the increase in television channels there is no dedicated time for kid's television. Saturday mornings used to be the only time the TV was completely ours.
  • My work place coffee ! Overdrinking can be one of the main reasons , LOL :-)
  • Most things and as I get older it seems everything will fall into the category of second rate. Human nature is strange!
  • Going out drinking with my friends. Speaking my mind openly, publicly. Holiday seasons. Family reunion. Watching TV. Listening to the radio. Reading the newspaper.
  • Christmas used to be SOOO exciting when I was a kid. The suspense, the decorations, the music, and all of the anticipation were almost too much for my little mind to bear. Now I find myself panicking, "Oh my goodness Christmas is almost here and I have to pull out the decorations, the music, and cook for all of these excited people!" I find at times it is still too much to bear, and now I need 6 post-Christmas months to recover!
  • Christmas, birthdays, television programming, etc.
  • Oatmeal.
  • My energy level :)
  • Me... Then again, I'm 53, now... :-( Oh... And almost every non-consumable product ever made... Seems they ALL have "built in obsolescence" and "built in breakability", or require parts that need resupplied or replaced, now!
  • Our safty in this country
  • The us economy
  • Taco Bell! Whatever happened to the good old days?
  • Money.
  • Arby's. The roast beef isn't as delicious as it was years ago. Also, it's more expensive than it was (even adjusting for inflation)
  • The US political process, and the people who get involved in it, and the general spirit of desiring liberty in this country. Not a single one of the founding fathers would be electable today, nor, do I think, would Lincoln have been (technically not an original founding father). None of our greatest presidents were particularly keen on self-aggrandizing and popularity-garnering. The country used to be about liberty, and about fighting for it, and being vigilant of a tyrannical oppressive, un-respresentative government that over-taxed its citizens to promote interests that were not for the common good, including pointless foreign wars. Oooo... I guess we fouled up there. The state's rights are generally a joke now, subordinate to a large, out-of-touch federal government, similar to colonies of a foreign nation. People are so complacent about their freedoms that they don't even recognize when those freedoms are being stripped away. It's also a sad thing when people don't recognize the argument that people should be able to bear arms first and foremost to protect themselves from an unjust government as being a good argument even now. We imagine that our government is free and democratic, when the division of our politics into two main parties, pretty much ensures that great people are not elected or electable, only, sometimes, the lesser of all the evils - and people who make a living out of being able to professionally win popularity contests (elections) are bound to be evils of some sort. We need a return to the libertarian values of the past.

  • My stamina, m'dear. I wear out faster than I used to! It's a pain in the derriere when I plan projects to accomplish and finish some of them kinda sorta..in "the olden days" I'd finish every project and even some I hadn't planned! Growing older is great because the alternative sucks..but it isn't always a bowl of peaches and cream. Stuff simply doesn't get done the way it used to! :(

  • Store bought processed food. Take the Hostess fruit pie for example. When I was a child it had fruit in it. Now it is filled with an over sweet glop and you may find one or two pieces of a fruit. My husbands theory is that over the years the companies that make processed foods would change one little thing, and then another, and then another. Each change was small, almost unnoticable. They did this to save money, or increase production. The problem is if you take the original product that you remember from childhood, and put it next to what is made now, all those little changes have made it barely resemble the original.
  • TV Dinners. There used to be at least a little quality out there for a low price. Now, if you want any quality at all you have to spend more than you do to get an actual meal! And all the fillers.... yuck. Well I eat em anyway.
